Organix Anti-Breakage Keratin Oil Shampoo Review

Hello girls,

If you read my reviews regularly, you would be knowing that I have wavy/curly, which is very frizzy and I keep looking for products that can control the frizz and give me good-looking hair without heat styling.  I am always on a hunt for good hair products to make my hair more manageable and presentable without using heat.  Sometimes the products work and mostly they don’t.  Organix shampoo and conditioners in different variants are raved by people so they have been on my list for quite some time.  Recently, I picked up the Organix Anti-Breakage Keratin Oil Shampoo. They have another keratin range too, which is the Brazilian keratin range, but I got attracted to the anti breakage claim and bought this product.  Read on to see to find out whether it actually works or not.

$7.99 for 13 fl oz.

Product Description:

Indulge in rich, fortifying keratin proteins that reinforce each strand, increasing elasticity to resist breakage caused by brushing and styling, while argan oil conditions and smoothes creating a luminescent shine. Strands are strengthened from within and nourished throughout for longer, stronger hair.

My Experience with Organix Anti-Breakage Keratin Oil Shampoo:

The first thing that caught my attention about this product was its sweet smell. This shampoo smells like some sweet flowery perfume and the best thing is that the smell remains in my hair after the wash also.  For almost 2 days after the wash, the hair smells amazing. One doesn’t need to use any hair perfume after using this shampoo. So, if you have a problem of bad smelling hair or scalp, then this shampoo will really help you.  It does make my hair soft and shiny.

This shampoo is sulphate free, still it lathers considerably well, but on days when I oil my hair, I have to use this shampoo twice to wash off all the oil (I use a lot of oil in my hair, like they do in parlors 😛 ). I am using this shampoo from the paste three weeks and it has made my hair more manageable, soft and frizz free. Now, I leave my hair open most of the time, without any tension of my hair looking bushy.  I love this shampoo for that :))

As far as the anti-breakage claim is concerned, it does not claim to reduce hair fall, only to reduce breakage caused by brushing and styling. I still see hair fall like before, but I was suffering from hair fall anyway, so I do give this shampoo the benefit of doubt. It has not reduced the amount of hair I see in my brush, but it has not worsened the condition either.  I was losing almost the same amount of hair before too. So, if you are thinking of buying this for reducing hair fall, then rest assured, it will not do anything for that.

It comes in the regular Organix shampoo packaging, but this one is a hot pink bottle, which looks very pretty.  The bottle is recyclable, which is a good thing.  Overall, I like this shampoo for making my hair soft and manageable. I recommend this to everyone who loves sweet-smelling hair and wants soft, shiny, and manageable hair, but if hair fall is your main concern, then this shampoo is not meant for you.

Pros of Organix Anti-Breakage Keratin Oil Shampoo:

  • Makes hair soft and shiny.
  • Sulfate and paraben free.
  • Amazing smell which stays in the hair for 2 days after the wash.
  • Lathers well.
  • Moisturizes hair and keeps frizz away, even when I don’t oil my hair before washing.
  • Recyclable packaging.
  • Gentle enough for regular use.
  • Makes hair soft, so it tangles less.

Cons of Organix Anti-Breakage Keratin Oil Shampoo:

  • Not easily available in India (available only online).
  • Does not rinse off oil in a single go.

  1. Need to stock up this Sweta….btw, do you know of any sure shot remedy to stop hair fall… friend is suffering severe hair fall, want help !

    1. I have tried many hair fall control oil and all jomol but they all work for short period…
actually in my case it is due to improper diet, i will say your friend should see a dermatologist first

    2. hot oil massage with 2-3 oils concotion (like: olive oil + coconutoil/ almond oil + castor oil)along with protein, calcium rich diet wud help jomol.. *haan ji* avoid combing wet hair, comb them wen they r slight dry, dnt rub with towel, just let them to air dry. Most of the times heavy water impurities do cause hair fall so u may try using distilled water, lukewarm water. lastly if it does nt help u really need a doctor then!!
      Hope it helps
