Hello beauties, hope you all doing great. Today I am going to review one of my favorite hair products from Oriflame. Why it’s my favorite you shall know soon! The product is from their very famous range of hair care- Coconut and Ricemilk. I have used the whole range from shampoo, conditioner to hair mask. But the most favorite for me turned out to be this nourishing oil.
Quantity:- 0.5 fl.oz/15 ml
Price:- MRP INR 59/- (INR 49/- on offer)
Usage:- Place unopened tube in hot water for 1 minute. Massage contents of tube into wet hair for 1 minute. Rinse well and shampoo as usual.
Ingredients:- Coconut and Ricemilk as key ingredients (that’s all I could get from the pack)
Preferable for:- Dry hair
Packaging:- Small plastic tube (about just 4 inches) with a crown shape plastic fixture which has to be broken for using. It’s just one time use tube and once broken you cannot have the lid on the tube again.
This is how the top of the tube looks like. You have to break it open after placing the tube for a minute in hot water.
This is the broken seal on top.
The consistency of the product is like coconut oil when u see it in the tube. It feels sticky initially if you rub it between your fingers. But I don’t know how the consistency changes immediately while applying into water like and believe me the stickiness vanishes completely. My hair nature is very dry because of the damage caused by using hot rollers and iron. So what I do is I use this once a week and my hair gets appropriate nourishment and shine is restored. I also use ayurvedic oil whenever I shampoo my hair during the week. But weekly treatment with this hot oil is must for me. Also the oil is very effective because of the initial heating of the oil. This increases the penetrative power of the oil into hair roots. I massage it for about 2 mins and don’t rinse it immediately. I wait for about 10 mins and then rinse it. It really makes my hair softer and shinier. They become manageable and also less frizzy. So I know it’s working on my hair.
Talking about the fragrance it smells just ditto like coconut oil.
Swatch of the product:
You can see the product is very viscous just like any other oil.
But when you spread the consistency becomes like water. Very non-sticky. 🙂 I guess it’s the ricemilk which makes it such.
Pros of Oriflame Coconut and Ricemilk Nourishing Hot Oil
• Gives great result for dry hair. Nourishes effectively.
• Requires lesser time for the effect to be seen. I don’t have to wait an hour or overnight for it to show effects.
• Non-sticky. I hate stickiness but then I never trust non-sticky oils for nourishment. But this was completely different and changed my opinion.
• Gives double benefit of nourishing as it needs to be heated up by putting the unopened tube in hot water. (I hate to heat up my coconut oil separately and wait till it cools down a bit and then clean the bowl…find it too messy.
• I like coconut fragrance. (might be a con for others)
Cons of Oriflame Coconut and Ricemilk Nourishing Hot Oil
• Price is a little on the higher side. The quantity is less for the price. But I use it just as weekly treatment. And I feel for medium length hair this tube can be used by 2 people. But yes the packaging is of one time use so you can’t even store. Have to use it immediately. 🙁
• Available through only Oriflame consultants.
My rating: :* :* :* :* (-1 for the price and availability)
Will I repurchase? YES. I am going to use this every week till my damaged hair comes to a better state. 😛

The hot oil has evolved a lot and even after 10 yrs of me knowing it, i am glad to know tht it is still one of their successful products.. back when i was in 10th i used to be an oriflame consultant and order stuff for myself, tubes of this hot oil in a diff then though, always topped the list!

yeah Jomol. And the pack is also one time usage one. You cant even store and reuse 🙁 🙁
I wish they had a cap so that someone with shorter hair can use half the product and then save for next time. :methinks:
This sounds so nice Jinal, but you have to get one for every use ,wish they had increase the quantity :silly: :silly: :silly: :silly:
yes thats ryt Ritika. I wish we cud reuse them. And yes with more quantity.
Jinal such an awesome product but I am allergic to coconut smell. :(( do they have other variants in this one?
They have a deeply nourish-hot oil for very dry hair. But no ingredients are mentioned. So I dont really know if that too has coconut smell. I will try that and let you know. :))
Rati….nahin the other one na doesn’t smell of coconut at all….Jini ….the other one smells very pleasant and aromatic :pigtail: :pigtail: :pigtail: :pigtail: :pigtail:
ohh really. Then I will order that too. Coz its for very dry hair na toh nourishment achcha hi hoga. Rati you can try that now. And the price is also less than this. Around 45 something. :))
