Oriflame Deodorizing Foot Powder Review

Oriflame Deodorizing Foot Powder Review

Hi everyone,

Today I am going to review a foot powder. I wear a lot of Jutti’s and ballerina’s to college and my feet remain all packed up from 9 to 5 so I was on a look out for some refreshing powder for the feet. When I saw the oriflame catalogue and this product which claimed to be a foot deodorizing powder, I instantly ordered it. It’s been 15 days I have been using it daily so I thought of sharing my experiences with you all.
Product being reviewed: Oriflame Deodorising Foot Powder.

Ingredients: Talc, Zinc Oxide, Triethyl Citrate, Parfum, Aqua, propylene Glycol, Limonene Linalool, Citrus Auriantifolia Extract, Hexyl Cinnamai, Citrus Aurantium, Bergamia Oil, Methylparaben :stars:

What the catalogue says:

Keep feet dry and odour free with this absorbent , deodorising foot powder. Bergamot oil refreshes and lime has anti bacterial properties. With a bright and pleasant fragrance, it will keep feet fresher for longer.
Well let’s take a brief look about bergamot oil and lime:

Bergamot Oil:

orflame2
Bergamot belongs to the family of citrus fruits. It is a tropical plant, now widely cultivated in most parts of Europe as well. Its botanical name is citrus bergamia. The rind of the bergamot fruit is used for extracting bergamot essential oil. It is slightly greenish in color, with a golden tinge. It is well-known and widely applied for its medicinal properties. Bergamot oil is an excellent disinfectant, owing to its antibacterial properties. Regular use of this oil, diluted in water, will help in keeping your skin healthy by curing and protecting it from fungal and bacterial infections. As a result of its fruity and fresh fragrance, bergamot oil is widely used in making several deodorant formulations and many other skincare products.

Lime:

lime
Lime juice and its oil are very beneficial for skin when consumed orally or applied externally. It rejuvenates the skin, keeps it shining, protects it from infections and reduces body odour due to presence of a large amount of vitamin-C and Flavonoids, both of which are class-1 anti oxidants, anti biotic and disinfectants. When applied externally on skin, its acids scrub out the dead cells, cures dandruff, rashes, bruises etc. and gives you a refreshing bath if its juice or oil is mixed into your bathing water.

Price/Packaging/Quantity:
INR 139 for 75 gm. It comes in an off white plastic pack with a sticker on top which has a cute orange coloured foot printed on it.

My take on the Product:
I had been eyeing something of this sort for quite a long time to keep my closed feet refreshed, so as soon as I saw it I ordered it and I can surely say that this is one of the best products for feet which I have come across. It comes in a small plastic bottle with a cute orange twist up cap. There are holes beneath which need to be pierced. It has an off white coloured powder inside which is a little coarse and this coarseness is rightfully accepted since the product is meant for the harsh skin of the feet. The smell is a little citrus and little medicinal, I can’t actually compare it with anything known. It seriously does what it claims as in my feet feel fresh even after 4-5 hours of application, when I take out my shoes( ballerina’s and jutti’s) even on the sunniest of days, my feet don’t smell at all. It does not get absorbed into the skin and a slight rubbing does leave a whitish cast on the feet but that is not much of a problem.
All in all, it does control the sweat and keep the feet refreshed so I have no grudges against it.

Pros of Oriflame Deodorizing Foot Powder:
1. This is the first deodorising powder for feet, at least I don’t know of others.
2. Does the job of keeping feet refreshed and deodorised for a long time.
3. Has Lime and bergamot oil which are used against many skin ailments.
Cons of Oriflame Deodorizing Foot Powder:
1. It contains parabens.
2. Does not get absorbed into the skin.
3. Leaves a whitish cast on the feet when you try to rub it so you end up having chalky feet.
4. You need to search for an oriflame representative to get it.
Final Verdict:
A boon for people who wear shoes, ballerinas or any other closed footwear, it will keep your feet fresh and deodorised. A must buy for the guys and gals can give it a try.

    1. Not at all Rati, the powder is coarse, it is not soft so my feet dont feel slippery, for gals its an ok product but for males its a blessing as they wear shoes na.

  1. I think this is perfect for people like me who prefer loafers and ballet flats to sandals and (horrific) chappals. I was eyeing the TBS Foot Spray yesterday when I went there but I think I’d rather use a powder instead of a spray. It may be better at preventing that humid feeling in the feet. I’m going to order it.
