Oriflame Essentials Tropical Fruits Mask Review

Oriflame Essentials Tropical Fruits Mask with Tropical Fruits and Vitamin E : Hi everyone !! remember during Diwali I had purchased a load of products from oriflame, this face mask was one of them. This product belongs to the new range that oriflame has launched, it contains fruit mask , cream and exfoliating gel. I found this mask quite interesting so I thought – chalo lets give this one a try.

Actually I have a serious affair with my “MULTANI MITTI” .. it does wonders to my skin since I have super oily t- zone. Nevertheless, I thought if this mask doesn’t work for me I ll donate it to my bhabhi or my mom.

So let’s get to our product – – this time I got pinky to model for this product ..hehehehe… call me crazy !!! There was a phase few years back where I was obsessed collecting these mini- dolls… I have so many of em … ll use these pretties in my upcoming reviews..hehehehe. . . .

Oriflame Essentials tropical fruits mask

GOODNESS OF FRUITS:
Natural fruits act as boosters for skin because of variety of enzymes in them. They are rich sources of minerals, vitamins and antioxidant agents which prove to be useful in taking care of your skin naturally.
The tropical fruit mask is enriched with extracts of – Pineapples (ananas sativus), Papaya (carica papaya) and Guarana (paullinia cupana).

The extract made from pineapples (Ananas sativus) has a variety of positive effects on the skin and promotes skin elasticity while removing dead damaged skin, while improving hydration and moisture and promoting a more elastic and clear looking skin. Pineapple fruit has some active principles with important effect on skin – sugars and a-hydroxy-acids (AHA) as well as enzymes. These active principles are responsible for its moisturizing and anti-ageing action, and also have a antifungal and purifying effect on the skin.

The extract from papaya (carica papaya) fruit contains the enzyme papain, which has wonderful exfoliating properties – removing dead skin, and specifically damaged skin. This particular property of papaya has extensively been used in medical conditions to deprive the skin from abnormal skin growth and skin diseases. Another use of the papaya juice is to help reduce and attenuate freckles or brown spots due to exposure to sunlight, smoothing the skin and creating a healthier looking skin.

Guarana is a climbing plant in the maple family. It is native to the Amazon basin and very common to Brazil. The plant is best known for its fruit which is highly rich in caffeine , restores skin radiance and acts as anti – irritant.

MY TAKE ON PRODUCT:

We all must be knowing the GREAT 4 P’s of marketing – product, price, place and promotion.
First let’s see the product : This product comes in a tube packaging with screw cap. It is easier to carry around in case you are travelling. The mask is of creamy consistency having no micro-particles or anything. The product strongly smells of pineapple and papaya, which I find pleasant. Some people may not like it – I don’t know !! We all know that fruits are a good source of vitamins and nutrients which made me buy this product. The first time I applied the mask, I felt I am applying cream but then I waited and waited and the white creamy mask became transparent flim on my face after drying which I washed off with cold water. The mask does not leave your skin dry after you wash your face. When I apply fuller’s earth( multani mitti) I love the tight stretchy feeling you feel as the mitti dries up which is good according to me because when I wash my face, the increased blood circulation as the resultant of skin stretching brings a pinky glow to my face. This fruit pack does nothing like that whatsoever, u don’t feel as if you have applied anything on your face .nevertheless, this pack does decent job of giving your skin a healthy glow for a while. I have very mixed feelings about this product.

Price: I think the product is bit pricey compared to other brands of fruit masks but then oriflame products do tend to be pricey. For 50ml of product .. 249 bucks is a bit much ..wht do ya think?
Place: This product of course will not be available at our local shops and stores and malls. We need to get it ordered from oriflame agent. But then in a city like Mumbai , there are many oriflame agents – should not be difficult to find. Oriflame does a good job of providing list of agents in your city at its website. So no problem in that I guess!!

Promotion: As we all know, oriflame does damn good job of promoting new products. The catalogue itself is very creatively made which tempts you to buy everything :). They also keep introductory offers to launch new products. The essential fruits range I believe was not promoted that well … the new range was featured in the last pages of the catalogue and also I saw these products in its diwali time catalogue.. The next catalogue I saw did not show this range….. I can’t say about its lastest catalogue as I haven’t seen it yet.
