Oriflame Eyeliner Stylo Review

When we pick up eye liners, don’t we just pray that it is smudge proof?  I have this natural instinct of rubbing my eyes frequently and, with eyeliner on, I look like a raccoon.  Every liner that I have tried smudged within a few minutes because of this habit of mine. So, I was pretty sure that only marker pen like eyeliners would work for me and I always wanted to buy Lakme eye artist, but didn’t.  Recently, I found out that even Oriflame has this felt-tip style eyeliner called Stylo and I ordered it from the January catalogue when there was an offer of 1 + 1 for Rs. 359, and Pooja sent me these brown and black ones.  There are three shades available in Oriflame eyeliner stylo and the third one is a green one.

Price: One Oriflame eyeliner stylo would cost you Rs. 359, but since I got it on offer, I got two for the value of one. 🙂

My Take on Oriflame Eyeliner Stylo

This is the most convenient of eye liners that I ever used just because of its sharp and narrow felt tip. I am able to “tightline” as well as draw thick lines without much difficulty. I have a very unsteady hand and I am dyslexic at eyelining capabilities. So, this eyeliner is the perfect option for me. I am able to create just a narrow line as well as give a broad winged look and what’s more, it dries like within nanoseconds. Yes, it is smudgeproof, that is even with my frequent rubbing, it does smudge, but not badly. This eyeliner stylo is completely waterproof. It comes off with water pretty soon. Another thing of note is that you will have some difficulty using it in your water line, I am not even sure whether these eyeliners can be used in the waterline, I tried, but was not able to.

Coming to colour pay-off, the colours are not intense. The black is not jet black as is the case with other gel liners and liquid liners available in the market, it is black and that’s it. Same case with brown, not the darkest brown, just brown and I am not even complaining.

As far as staying power of the stylo is concerned, it stays on the lids for a good 5 to 6 hours without smudging if you know how to control your hands.

Pros of Oriflame Eyeliner Stylo:

• Felt tip helps you draw steady and precise lines.
• Perfect for “tightlining.”
• Both narrow and thick lines are easy to draw.
• Smudge proof.
• Dries quickly.
• Price is apt.
• It does not irritate or sting the eyes.
• Good staying power.
• Perfect tool for eyeliner/makeup illiterates like me.

Cons of Oriflame Eyeliner Stylo:

• Colours are not rich or intense, brown is not the darkest brown, and black is not jet black.
• Not waterproof.
• Cannot be used on water lines ????

Will I Get it Again? I want to try the green one and I will get the black one again.

IMBB Star Rating: 3/5 because colours are not intense.

  6. Someone tell me advantage of Felt tip…I use liquid liners having a v thin brush. They work fine for a thin linning … ?:)

    1. Err Sonam..i guess felt tips are for dodos like me 😐 😐 😐 😐 😐 😐 who dnt know how to use liquid/gel liners….

      1. sonam

        1. Portability
        2. even application of product
        3. easier control over the type of line you want
        4. for dodos like farha and dyslexics like Jomol 😛

But if you are very comfortable with your thin brush then you can happily skip these 😛

  9. i quite agree with the gang above jomol i didn’t quite realise or believe that this review was indeed penned by you 😛 😛 😛 I was also tempted to buy these for my mom as they are on offer this month but i have noticed that one has to go back and forth a few times with pen eyeliners. with her faling eyesight, mommy can hardly see one stroke at her age :yelo: thank god i did not get this for her! 😐 😐 😐

  10. hey jomol nyc review ……….i have the black one and i agree its not intense but guess its good for a subtle look for day wear…..
and i dint even dare put it o my waterline coz once i got the tip into my eye mistakenly and it stung me so bad………REAL BAAAD!! :zombiekiller:

  11. Hiya Jomol, nice review. I also loved those new Oriflame nail polishes you reviewed; did you see my comment on your article?

  12. OMG im so totally in love with themmmmm can they last on oily lids????
I want to get all 3 black, brown , green… can any1 mail them to me? i’ll transfer the cost and shipping like- right now.. hehehe

  13. hey jomol..nice review.. 😀 i wanted the black one but now i’m confoosed! ?:) is the colour dull and greyish or deep and black enough? :waiting:

  14. I have all the colors of this range…But the weird part is that the Brown one doesn’t work properly..I think I received a dud since it feels like its either half over or else the felt tip has dried..

But the green one is awesome! The color is extremely rich and easy to apply :waytogo:
