Oriflame Nature Fragranced Body Talc

Talc is a mineral based powder. Talc was first discovered in the town of Gouverneur, near Natural Dam and Little Bow, as early as 1867 by Daniel Minthorn, of Watertown, N. Y., who is an expert mineralogist. Talc is found in many “baby and body” powders, feminine powders and many cosmetics. Health experts have maintained over the years that products containing talc are safe when used as directed. Talc is used in many industries such as paper making, plastic, paint and coatings, rubber, food, electric cable, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, ceramics, etc.

With a baby, you will want to apply it carefully, so as to avoid allowing the dust to become airborne as much as possible. We would sometimes lay a washcloth or some such over our babies’ mouths to act as an air filter.

My Experience with the Oriflame Talcs:

These talcs come in beautiful colored plastic containers with twist cap! I thought these would smell amazing given the fact they are from the Swedish brand Oriflame! They smell nothing unusual; they smell like the talcs from our Indian brand Ponds! I use this after bath whenever I stay home, they do provide a fresh fragranced feel to the body but I was expecting a very out-of ordinary fragrance which wasn’t there!

I tried to carefully read the content on the talc which is written in so many languages, had to located English from the content }:[ While reading , I found that these talcs are manufactured in India by Avalon cosmetics, the same cosmetic company that manufactures Boroplus! That when I understood the reason why it didn’t smell out of ordinary!

Of all the three fragrances, I liked the Romantic Flowers (the pink colored)! Not just because of the name but also it smelled little better when compared to the other two!

Paradise Fruits (the orange colored) smells like Pond’s sandal Talc to me! & the Mystique Forest (green colored) talc smells like some other Santoor talc that I don’t remember! :->

Pros of the Oriflame Body Talc

Cons of the Oriflame Body Talc

 Smells like the regular talcs! Nothing amazing or unusual.

Will I recommend this? Yes I will! This can be used as a regular talcum powder; this doesn’t cause any discomfort or irritation! Though I’m not so happy with the regular fragrance they provide, I use this whenever I don’t feel like using the deodorants & my skin likes it!
