ORIFLAME PURE COLOUR NAIL POLISH:

Oriflame Pure COlor for nails

Oriflame has launched a new range of nail paints called PURE COLOUR and this range comprises of 12 shades which comprise of Baby Pink, Clover Haze, Nude Pink, Intense Pink, Purple Pink, Pearly Purple, Dark Purple, Burgundy, Coral Red, True Red, Passion Red, Dark Brown. These shades have just got introduced in this month and hence they carry a price tag of Rs. 90. However, considering this is a nail paint range, the colours are very limited and I chose the Coral Red shade and asked Pooja to pick up the other two colours according to her liking. So, I got three shades in total, Coral Red, Purple Pink, and Pearly Purple. There are no neon or other trendy colours in this range, even if they were, I would have any day chosen these bright colours over those.:)

WHAT THE CATALOGUE SAYS:

Glossy, high shine nail polish in a huge range of exciting shades. Gorgeous finish, fantastic colours – and what’s more, it’s unbelievable value. Why not try them all?

PRICE: Rs. 90 for 8 mL/0.2 fl.oz.

REVIEW OF ORIFLAME PURE COLOUR NAIL PAINTS:

This is the first time I am trying nail paints from Oriflame.
The nail paints come in a robust, sturdy, cylindrical bottle with a black cap. The brush is a good quality one, which spreads the polish evenly. The consistency is not thick and gets on to the brush easily. The finish is glossy and even. They come off the nails easily with Lakme nail polish remover. Another remarkable thing to point out is that these polishes dry within 10 seconds of application and you would not have to sit forever waiting for your polishes to dry.

I am not the one for sober and brown shades, so all the three shades that I have got are bright and happy.

The first one is PURPLE PINK, which has an equal measure of pink and purple in the shade. There is no extra hint of either shades. This one is glossy and has very mild shimmer, can’t even call that shimmer, but it’s a lovely colour.

Purple Pink – 23164

The second colour that I picked up is PEARLY PURPLE. This one is slightly on the metallic side with noticeable glitter and shimmer. It is a proper dark purple shade.

Pearly Purple – 23165

The third and my most favourite shade is this CORAL RED shade. It is a very bright red colour which brightens and lights up the entire hand. I love it and will go for it again and again just because it looks so bright. I had a bright red shade from Streetwear, but that looked too bridal. This one is like everyone’s colour.

(Please ignore the tacky application of these paints on my nails).

PROS OF ORIFLAME PURE COLOUR FOR NAILS:

  • Lovely bright shades.
  • Glossy finish.
  • Staying power, it stayed on the nails for two whole days without chipping and without a top coat.
  • The brush is of very good quality and picks colour evenly.
  • Good quality nail polish, comparing it with Lakme True Colour, this one is better.
  • Dries within 10 seconds.

CONS OF ORIFLAME PURE COLOUR FOR NAILS:

  • Limited shades, only 12 are available.
  • No neon or much of metallic shades available.
  • Since it is on the Oriflame catalogue, the price is bound to change. Since this is introductory price, the cost is bound to increase.

These nail polishes are the best that I have used in budget buys and I am going to continue to pick them up.

WILL I REPURCHASE : Definitely.

IMMB STAR RATING: Since it is a budget-buy nail polish coming under Rs. 100, I would rate it :-* :-* :-* :-*

  11. Wow…lovely shades, Jomol. These shades are so ‘me’, I am going to order them asap (=tomorrow itself), I am an Oriflame consultant too, and have yet to place any orders this month. You like bright shades, Jomol? If so, wait till you see 8 shades of bright colours nail paints I got as a gift from a relative from UK.

  12. I hv this nail paint in purple pink shade & I find it very fluorescent & tacky kind of shade. I dont like it & neither does it suit my medium complexion.
And I also dont like d finish of this nail polish. Its not that glossy & classy like Lakme true wear. I really like their finish. This one is kind of streaky in look.
Also, d shade is not what it says or appears in d catalogue. Its bright pink, no purple tone.

But I solved that problem. I hv a nail paint in light blue shade from Revlon which I got free with 2 other shades that I bought & it was lying unused. I applied a coat of that on this purple pink shade & wow! it gives d true purple pink shade that u see in d catalogue. It looks double shaded & nice & everybody liked it that way 🙂 Me happy coz now I can use both my unused nail paints 🙂
