Oriflame Pure Nature Organic Burdock Extract Purifying Clay Mask

Oriflame Pure Nature Organic Burdock Extract Purifying Clay Mask Review

Hi beautiful ladies,

Today I am going to review a clay mask by oriflame, I have sensitive oily acne prone skin and it is very difficult for me to find a face pack for me, for that matter not only face pack but all cosmetics range, I have to be extremely careful before applying anything as my skin reacts badly with most of the cosmetics but this doesn’t stop me from applying makeup and trying different cosmetic preparations  This time I was tempted to try this clay mask as it was suggested by our “Oriprem Encyclopedia” 😆 , for those of you who are new here let me tell who that is, it is our very own “Jomol” :woot:
Ok, so let’s take a look at its review:

Product being reviewed:Oriflame Pure Nature Organic Burdock Extract Purifying Clay Mask

What the catalogue says?
Purifying clay mask with 100%organic burdock extract for normal to oily skin

Rs279 for 50 ml (last month it was on offer so I got it for 195), It comes in a small pastel pink tube with a white twist cap at the top.

Aqua, Kaolin, Glycerin,Bentonite, Butylene Glycol,Sodium Citrate, Xanthan Gum, Citric Acid, Phenoxyehanol, Parfum, Imidazolidinyl, Urea, Mrthyl Paraben, Propyl Paraben, Ethyl Paraben, Arctium Lappa extract :stars:

More about Burdock:

Burdock has been used for centuries to treat a host of ailments. It has been traditionally used as a “blood purifier” to clear the bloodstream of toxins, as a diuretic (helping rid the body of excess water by increasing urine output), and as a topical remedy for skin problems such as eczema, acne, and psoriasis. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, burdock is often used with other herbs for sore throat and colds. Extracts of burdock root are found in a variety of herbal preparations as well as homeopathic remedies.
Burdock consists primarily of carbohydrates, volatile oils, plant sterols, tannins, and fatty oils. Researchers aren’t sure which active ingredients in burdock root are responsible for its healing properties, but the herb may have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antibacterial effects

The above information I found while searching on Google. Though not much has been mentioned about its significant contribution to treat acne or sebaceous glands but yes it does help in treating them to some extent.

My take on this mask:

This mask comes in a pastel pink tube with burdock plant printed in front. The colour of the tube is very soothing. It has a small hole at the top which controls the amount of face pack to be taken. The colour of the pack inside is white and it is not very thick in its consistency. It exudes a very fresh natural fragrance when you open the cap. A small amount needs to be taken as a little goes a long way on the face, a thin layer needs to be spread. It is as same as applying pepsodent toothpaste, I mean it dries as fast as the tooth paste and while putting it also I have the same feeling because of its colour and consistency and the way it behaves on the skin. You may feel a slight tingling sensation after 2 minutes of application but that’s too slight. As I said it dries quite fast so I wash it after 8-10 minutes of application and it comes off easily with water.

It did make my skin softer and my complexion fairer at least for some 3-4 hours. The oily feeling also dint come for a good 2-3hours.Though it did not stop or control the acne but dint aggravate the existing ones, in fact kind of helped to soothe them a bit.

The above picture shows the clay mask and you can notice the ends drying with just a little bit of spreading.

What I liked About Oriflame Pure Nature Organic Burdock Extract Purifying Clay Mask:

1. One product which has suited my oily acne prone skin.
2. It did not aggravate my acne.
3. Made my skin softer and fairer.
4. Small amount is required to cover the entire face.

What I dint like About Oriflame Pure Nature Organic Burdock Extract Purifying Clay Mask:

1. It contains parabens.
2. Did not make the face oil free for long.

Will I repurchase?
Definitely. In fact all oily skinned beauties can give it a try. It does soothe the irritated skin

IMBB rating : 4 out of 5

Last but not the least, the post would not end if I don’t say a thank you to Jomol, so :thanks: Jomu for your advice :puchhi: I am really liking the product.

  1. nice review dear shivani, thanks a lot,i will definitely give a try,but i think its bit costly for the amt of 50ml,if its in offer time then its good, orelse bit costlier.anyways good review.

  2. Thanks,it is a bit pricey Binodini but u c i come across very little stuff which suits my skin type, i dont mind picking it up even at the full cost :)) during offers, it can be picked if one wants to try and ur always welcome :))

    btw,Nice review!!~ :waytogo:
My acne is very moody. Sometimes,I buy a product almost expecting it to cause some damage to my skin, and it ends up becoming my HG product of that type.
And when I get something that I think will work,it doesn’t work at all. :headbang:

  4. i am having oliy-combi/oily skin 🙂
and me use only fuller’s earth (my mamu brings it for me duur se)
but i have saved teh product’s name..might try it when i find a new oriflame rep 🙂

    1. Fuller earth to dint suit me at all 😥 wenever i have tried it , it has given me break outs and this has happened 4-5 times, now i stay away from Fuller’s earth powder

  5. My dry skin is as friendly towards clay masks as Salman is towards SRK. :silly: Nice review, though. I’ll recommend it to my oily-skinned, acne prone friends. And “Oriprem encyclopaedia”! :rotfl:
