Outfit of the Day: Bling and Statement Earrings
Hi everyone,
How is everyone doing? I am in a very good phase of life. My brother was blessed with a beautiful baby girl. So, I am prancing around like a very proud aunt. A few days ago, it was her name keeping ceremony and I wore this dress for that event.
It was originally designed as a saree. With it being such a heavy saree, it was very difficult to re-use it. So, I got it converted into a dress, with the pallu being converted into a Kurta and the rest of saree was made into the dupatta.
I recently ordered these beautiful earrings from Eina Ahluwalia and they went beautifully with this dress.
I finished off with gold kadhas in my hands (known as shindeshahi todas in Marathi. **Shindeshahi Toda – a heavy bracelet made from 24 carat pure gold, crafted without soldering and which takes three skilled craftsmen for more than a month to execute).
I fell in love with these Steve Madden peep toes and had to have them when I saw them.
It was as if my niece’s name keeping ceremony was bringing all my favorite pieces together into this one outfit.
I tied my hair in simple plaits to show off my earrings. Make up wise, I am wearing Lotus herbals Naturaglow daily tinted moisturiser with SPF 25, MAC feline kajal, Clinique Mascara, MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Rio, and MAC just Plumpful on my lips.
Hope you like this OOTD of mine 🙂
