Outfit of the Day: Blue Printed Dress with Pearl Accents

By Shelja D.

Hello beauty’s ladies!

Today, I am gonna flaunt my blue printed pearly dress! These pictures were taken a few months ago, in the month of February, and the occasion for this dress was my bestie’s reception! As February is considered as the month of love and romance, my friend decided to marry in February.  As it was a love marriage, it was the perfect icing over the cake!

As it was my bestie’s reception, I played an important role and hence wanted look fabulous on her special day.  As the reception was a grand event, I wanted to look royal and beautiful! And royalty is incomplete without pearls, if you notice mostly queens in the olden times and even today prefer pearls, and this inspired me to get a pearly outfit. After searching for days, from Bandra to Vashi, I finally got my queen in a boutique in Vashi, and I knew in my heart that “THIS IS IT”? I was so happy to take it home because it fitted so well, absolutely flattered my curves and I was the happiest girl on earth! (I’m sorry for extreme level of exaggeration :P).

I did my own makeup, all I had on my face was a light lipstick, eyeliner and a face cream.

You can see through the pictures that I was so happy and made every effort to act and look like a model 😛

The dress is of navy blue colour with rich floral white prints.  There are big round pearls attached on the collar and cuffs. This is not enough as it has a big surprise cut behind the back to give the dress that sexy appeal.

As the dress already had lots of pearls, I did not want to overdo it with accessories and hence I paired the outfit with minimum accessories.  I just wore a pair of pearl earrings along with my white watch and a diamond ring.
