Hello, all you beautiful women of IMBB!
So let me first introduce myself to you’ll. I am Neha Singh. I have studied Fashion and Textile Design. So by now, you must have understood that I love fashion; so much so that I took up this course after studying science in my high school (Mithibai College). Just imagine! Fashion, to me, is an art and it is a science; to be more precise, it is an artistic science and a scientific art of learning to combine colours, styles, patterns and textures for the final effect. I know, I know, too much gyaan!
As much as I love fashion, I love styling people around me too; bringing out one’s best personality, making them fall in love with themselves all over again is something I love! After coming across this blog, I decided to write for all you fantabulous women and share my knowledge of fashion and styling. So here I am, hoping to get your support and encouragement for the same. Also, I hope to get some appreciation from our very own fashionista, Rati. I love her style and the way she puts everything together for the whole picture to look beautiful. Now, I want to share this engagement look that I put together for my sister last October. This is how she looked.
After all the brainstorming session, I decided to go for a contemporary look than a typical Indian look. We spent days looking for the right outfit, and finally, I came across this one piece, a gorgeous golden shimmering gown. I thought this was very apt for the occasion. This gown that I picked for her is from Diva’ni. It is a brand of YRF, and it offers India’s first cinema inspired ethnic wear. Now jewellery, as the outfit itself is so stunning, I went for minimal jewellery. After looking at more than a dozen of chandbalis, I finalised this beautiful pair from Sunil Jewellers as it is so much in trend. It has a little pop of blue and rani pink and has pearl droppings too. Beautiful, isn’t it??
Stilettos, which of course are not visible in the pictures, were from Charles and Keith. Now the final hurdle was to have the right makeup artist. We chose Meghna Bhutani, who is an expert in the makeup industry. As you can see, she did an excellent work on my sister. Keeping her outfit and jewellery in mind, she kept the look contemporary and fresh. Adding those little white flowers on her hair was like the cherry on the cake. I finally achieved the look that I had desired for her. Even she was overwhelmed with my efforts. Everyone loved the way my sister looked on her engagement. My efforts paid off!
I hope, like everyone at the engagement, you all will like the look too. Please write down your comments, whether you liked it or not. I will soon share more looks from my sister’s wedding functions. 🙂
