Diwali is far gone, but I wish it had continued for a few more days. The vibes are so positive and enthusiastic that I wouldn’t want it to end. I love lights and I am not letting my mom remove those lights from my windows because I am so in love with those cute pink and green lights. Coming to today’s outfit, I wore this for the new year when I had gone to wish everyone and take their blessings.
I have designed this outfit myself and my tailor did an amazing job with it. The thread-work material that you see belongs to Surat. My friend stays there and I told her to buy this for me as these are very rare in Mumbai. The only thing I had is that material to work with. So, I got some plain blue cloth for the bottom part, and got a dupatta and leggings of the same shade.
What’s fun in a traditional outfit without some blingy borders? Hence I got some matching borders to the outfit and placed it in the dupatta and the daman of the dress. And also attached some left out material to the dupatta and the daman. I completed the outfit with some latkans at the back.
Nothing bright in the accessories, as I wanted the dress to be the centre of attraction and wanted to show off my creation a bit 😛 I wore a delicate gold and diamond set just to make it look more traditional. I paired the look with a pair of golden heels and a dash of makeup. For makeup, I used L’Oreal Minerals True Match Powder Foundation, Maybelline clear glow talc powder, Maybelline cheeky glow blush in fresh coral, Maybelline Gel Liner, and Covergirl Lipstick Smoochies in Luv U.
Hope you liked my creation. This is just the beginning of the fashion designing course, I have just learnt some basics, hope to do better and better in the future. Thank you for watching peeps!
