P2 cosmetics is an affordable brand and I wanted to give it a try. Today’s review is about P2 cosmetics 5-D star mascara. Read on to find out how it faired.

My Experience with P2 Cosmetics 5-D Star Mascara:
The 5-D star mascara has a silvery metallic grey outer casing with product name embossed on top of it in white colour. The packaging looks good. This is not a water-proof mascara, and I prefer them, since it is suitable for contact lens wearers. The lid is a screw lid, just like any other mascara. The mascara is black in color.
The wand is in pretty good size; it is neither too small nor too big. One can work on the top and bottom lashes with this size and length of the wand. The tip is slightly bent, so that it can reach the smallest eyelashes and also the corners.
The mascara consistency is very thick and also it dries up very quickly. I felt that my mascara was already quite dry within the packaging. I am not sure if it is just my mascara or it is the same case with all mascaras. I have to apply atleast 3 layers of it to get my lashes done.
There are micro fibers in the mascara, which is supposed to give length to the lashes. I found that my lashes did increase in size, but not to a great extent. There was no eye burning or redness in my eye, after using the mascara. But, there was fall outs from the mascara by the end of the day. I guess it was due to the dry texture of the mascara.
The mascara is easy to remove with normal eye make up remover. Overall, its not a bad mascara, but I didn’t like the consistency and wish that it was not so dry.

- Beautiful packaging.
- Rich black in color.
- Slightly lengthens lashes.
- Contains microfibers.
- Easy to remove with eye makeup remover.
- Does not irritate eyes.
Cons of P2 Cosmetics 5-D Star Mascara:
- Dry consistency.
- Fall out by the end of the day.

I am always looking out to try different mascaras. So, I would not repurchase the same.

If you are not looking for a lot of drama and want to slightly lengthen the lashes, then this will do the job.
