Recently, I picked up a couple of lipsticks from Pacifica. Today, I am reviewing the shade “Compassion Passion” for you. Read on to find out more.

My Experience with Pacifica Compassion Passion Power of Love Lipstick:

Before I come to my own experience, I would like to mention some facts about the company “Pacifica” and this range of lipsticks. Pacifica is known to make cosmetic products with natural, safe and sustainable ingredients. Even their packaging is recyclable. All their products are gluten free, 100% vegan and cruelty free.  With their “Power of Love” range of lipsticks, they follow a motto of “Buy One, Give One.” Which means that for every Power of Love lipstick sold, they promise to donate one to a woman in need. Now, isn’t that a reason enough to buy?

Packaging: The lipstick comes in a slim white colored plastic packaging. The packaging is quite simple and girly with cute golden hearts.  I like that the lipstick bullet swivels all the way down and there is no danger of nicking the lipstick. The cap shuts tight and doesn’t come loose even if you toss it around in your bag. The name of the lipstick appears on a sticker at the bottom of the bullet.

Shade/Pigmentation:  “Compassion Passiappears red in the bullet but it swipes a cool bright pink. Since this is a cooler shade, it will suit lighter skin tones better. It is a nice girly shade for summers. The pigmentation is decent but you do need two swipes to cover pigmented lips.

Texture/Finish:  The formula is quite creamy and the lipstick applies smoothly without any tugging. The finish is a satiny crème. But since this is a light shade of lipstick, it tends to clump slightly on the lips and you need to take care to not swipe it multiple times.  The product does not feel drying on the lips but it does not impart any extra hydration either. It does slightly accentuate the lip lines.  The lipstick has a mild coconut fragrance to it.

Staying Power:  The lasting power on the lipstick is pretty good and it stays put for 5-6 hours with light meals. It does transfer slightly but you do have enough color on your lips at the end of the day. It does not leave any stain behind.

• Accentuates lip lines.
• Slightly expensive compared to drugstore brands.

If you are a fan of natural ingredients in your cosmetics and think this shade will suit you, you can try it out. Or maybe, you could buy it for the greater good of them donating one to a woman in need when you buy one!! I already have another shade from the range and will not repurchase.
