For the past couple of months, I have been trying and reviewing makeup wipes by several Korean brands, some high-end brands from Ulta and Sephora, and also some generic ones from the drugstore. I don’t usually reach for the brand Pacifica although it occupies a major shelf area in drugstores and Ulta. I got a good deal on these wipes at my local TJ Max and decided to add them to my skin care routine. Makeup removal wipes make the makeup removal process a little easier and considerably mess free, even if they do not leave face squeaky clean. My Experience with Pacifica Super Detox Deep Purification Wipes:
The products by Pacifica are housed in fancy packaging and they do catch my eye whenever I walk by them. The packaging is usually in a very bright packaging with quirky swirl and flower patterns. These wipes by Pacifica contain kale, cucumber and mangosteen extracts and is meant to detox and purify skin. These wipes are meant to clean face and remove makeup in a gentle manner and yet keep face skin hydrated and supple. Apart from these two food grade preservatives and one surfactant to attract dirt off of face, these wipes contain several natural plant-based extracts which have skin soothing and hydrating properties.
These wipes have the right dimension to clean face, neck and eye makeup and one wipe is sufficient for one-time use. The wipes are made up of natural fibers and are mildly textured without being overly abrasive. They are 100% vegan and cruelty free. They contain aloe vera extract which adds moisture to face while removing makeup. It contains willow bark extract which helps sooth skin and help in new cell regeneration. It contains mangosteen extract which is rich in anti-oxidants. It contains kale and cucumber extract which calms down bruised skin and keeps it supple. It also contains papaya extract which is a natural skin brightening agent.
Wipes come in a packet with a flap to cover the opening that dispenses the wipes. These wipes have a faint cucumber aroma and smells very refreshing. The packaging is attractive, and the green color really does stand out. These wipes are completely soaking wet with the product – not dripping wet but completely saturated with the cleansing solution. For the price paid, they are reasonably saturated with the product; one wipe is sufficient to clean the face and neck and so on. I break down the stubborn, waterproof makeup with cleansing oil or balm and then wipe off the gunk with these wipes. I then wash the makeup off of these wipes and then use them as wash cloth to clean my face and every other area I apply makeup. If used alone without cleansing oil, these wipes fail to remove eye makeup – eyeline or mascara. Be as it may, for the price paid they are well worth a buy and a try.

- Packaging is perfect and can be carried around in purse or on the go.
- These are perfect in size and sufficient for face, neck and any other area that we apply makeup to.
- It easily removes base makeup. One wipe is sufficient for face and neck especially since I use them with cleansing oil.
- Each wipe is thoroughly saturated with product.
- One side of the wipe has mildly abrasive texture and the other side is smooth – can be used as per personal preference.
- The packaging is hygienic, dispenses product easily, and travel friendly.
- Dermatologist and ophthalmologist tested and have not clogged my pores or caused acne.
- Refreshing cucumber aroma.
Cons of Pacifica Super Detox Deep Purification Wipes:
- They might not work well at removing waterproof eye makeup if used without cleansing balm or oil.
Would I Repurchase/Recommend Pacifica Super Detox Deep Purification Wipes?
These wipes by Pacifica are affordable and do justice to their price. I like their texture and the fact that they contain skin moisturizing and calming properties. They are not drying, don’t cause irritation, don’t clog pores and remove base makeup well if used with other cleansing medium. I do recommend these wipes to others and this brand as well.
