Palladio cosmetics from the USA has finally launched in India and obviously, I had to pick something from this brand. I opted for a lipstick. This is my first product purchase from this brand and I wanted something that would give a power punch of poppy and vibrant orange. So, I went for a summery shade from their dreamy matte lip colour collection in the shade ‘coral’. Let’s get started with the product review.

My Experience with Palladio Dreamy Matte Lip Color Coral:
Palladio Dreamy Matte Lip Color is a beautiful collection of 9 different shades. You will find lip colours of reds, plums, corals and berry in this lipstick range. The colours are quite eye-catching and are a treat for Indian skin tones. Among all these shades, I felt the shade ‘coral’ was the best of the whole lot.
Packaging:
This dreamy matte lip colour bullet comes housed inside a classic black tube that has a matte finish with a black cap on it. The bottom of the lipstick tube is transparent and you can peek through the shade of the lipstick inside. This type of packaging makes shade identification a lot easier.On the body of the tube, the brand name is written which gives it a more edgy look.
The shade name is also mentioned on the top of the black cap’s body. The cap shuts with an audible click. The packaging is very sturdy and you easily carry it around everywhere. Overall, I love the simple yet classic packaging of this lipstick.
Shade:
Palladio ‘coral’ shade is a super gorgeous orange colour with a mix of red undertones to it. The colour looks extremely vibrant on lips. A sure head-turner, it brings your face to life and brightens up your complexion. This shade is perfect for summer. Many people are sceptical about trying orange lipstick thinking how bold a look it may create. But let me tell you this shade is pretty wearable, you can wear it at any time of the day.
It is perfect for any sort of occasion. You can wear it as an everyday shade or even for night outs. The colour is not that bold and it will flatter all Indian skin tones. This is probably one of the best orange lipsticks in my personal opinion which will go perfectly with every skin tone. And if you want to add a natural sheen to your face instantly, this must be your pick.
Pigmentation:
This shade is perfectly pigment packed. It is high in pigmentation with a super-rich colour intensity which is great for everyone! A single swipe is all you need to get opaque coverage. It covers lip pigmentation well, deposits evenly without any tugging or pulling. For my lips, I had to apply two coats of it for obtaining the best colour pay off. The quality is really good and it is worth the price you pay for it.
This lipstick has a very pleasant vanilla fragrance. Personally, I love vanilla scents, so I have no problem with this odour. It should not be a problem for sensitive noses as the fragrance is not too overpowering.
Texture:
As per the product description, this lipstick gives a luxe matte finish on application. The ingredient list is quite intriguing and the lipstick has been formulated keeping in mind the demerits of wearing matte lip colours on dry lips. Green tea, chamomile, ginseng, ginkgo biloba, aloe vera and Vitamin E extracts help to provide the right amount of nourishment to the lips and improve the lip texture.
The texture of this one is creamy matte and has a great moisturizing formula. It does not have any sort of shimmer or gloss in it and gives a natural finish. It has a smooth application and does not tug lips. It is buildable and adjusts well to layering. I loved this formula, even though it has a matte formulation it never dries out my lips. It can be used as a lip stain too if you want to get a subtle look. Wearing this adds a gorgeous glow to the skin.
The formula glides on very smoothly and very little product is needed for total coverage. So, this lipstick feels extremely comfortable on my lips. It has a feather-light formula and does not feel like I’m wearing something on my lips. However; this one definitely is not a transfer proof lipstick. It does transfer slightly, but the colour intensity on the lips does not vary much due to this.
The best part is it does not crack or flake off. So your lips do not feel chapped after wearing it. Since the formula is matte, but to avoid highlighting any sort of patchiness or settling into fine lines, exfoliation is necessary. I usually prefer prepping my lips and moisturizing it with a lip balm to avoid any sort of dryness. Other than the exfoliation part, I absolutely have no complaints about its texture and quality.
Staying Power:
This lipstick lasts for over 5-6 hours without food or drinks. The problem with this lipstick starts after having heavy meals as it gradually starts to fade away from the centre of your lips. So wearing time is pretty good but these do transfer a little. However, even after this lipstick fades, it leaves a light orange tint on your lips which look gorgeous. But for people with dry lips, this could be a concern. In that case, you may have to reapply it. But is it perfectly okay because it does not feel tacky at all. The lipstick can be easily removed with any makeup remover.
Overall:
In a nutshell, this is one of the best matte lipsticks that I have tried to date. It keeps my lips moist while looking vibrant. It is an extremely budget-friendly lipstick. At this price tag, it is a perfect choice for a lipstick-freak girl on a budget. If you are looking for a wearable orange lipstick for summer, this is a great option.
