Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Foot Magic Review

Hi Guys,

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Foot Magic Review

This is my first review from this brand “Palmer’s Cocoa Butter.” As a teenager, I was quite intrigued by this brand as I got a body butter tub from one of my cousins and quite liked the fragrance. However, after coming to Australia, I have tried many of their products and I am quite happy with them. Let me get this straight, compared to other drugstore brands, Palmer’s is quite pricey.  I started using this a couple of months back as I hadn’t been paying enough attention to my feet by moisturising and as a result, my feet had become quite dry and extremely dry during winter.

I like lotions and potions, but I was not disciplined enough to go through the” moisturise-wear cotton socks” routine every night, but after I got this Foot Magic and a pair of cotton socks from “The Body Shop,” I started the routine and have been sticking to it. Let me start my review by introducing the product.

Product Description:

An intensive balm that deeply moisturises rough, dry skin and soothes tired feet. Pure Cocoa Butter, enriched with Vitamin E and other natural emollients, provides a deep penetrating treatment for the feet. This unique formulation moisturises, softens and smooths even the roughest, driest skin.

Active Ingredients:

  • Cocoa Butter and Vitamin E.
  • Cocoa Butter.

Cocoa Butter addresses skin concerns such as roughness, loss of elasticity, scars and dryness. Cocoa Butter is an all natural skin conditioning plant extract loaded with essential fatty acids. It softens and protects by diminishing water loss – keeping skin hydrated and supple.
Vitamin E – Vitamin E is contained in all Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula products and is absolutely essential for the face. This top antioxidant diminishes the appearance of lines, wrinkles and scars by keeping skin cells hydrated.

Other Ingredients:

Apart from cocoa butter it also contains mango seed butter, Shea butter, peppermint oil and Eucalyptus leaf oil.

My Experience with Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Foot Magic:

This is not a lotion or a butter, it is a balm. The words “Foot Magic” describes it well as it worked wonders in just a couple of days. Before starting to use this product, my feet were dry and it had some visible dry patches. This was okay during winter as I was covering my feet, but during summer, I wear flats and sandals and wanted my feet to be in tip-top condition. After cleaning my feet with the Crabtree and Evelyn foot smoother, which I’m using at the moment, I apply this balm on both my feet and wear The Body Shop Cotton Socks.

The Body Shop Cotton Socks only covers the feet, it does not come above the ankle level.  Because of this, I sometimes lose one of them while sleeping.  So, I prefer to first wear them and then wear another pair of socks, it’s okay for me as the weather is getting colder now. The texture is of course balm like and it is of light yellow colour. It has a light fragrance which is a mixture of spearmint and cocoa butter, but the smell is not overpowering.

Even with two days of use, I saw an improvement and after a week, my feet have become well moisturised and the dry patches have disappeared. The best thing about this balm is that you can forget to use it or skip using it on alternate days, but the effect does not wear off. This suits me well. My feet have become softer and smoother. I haven’t reviewed the foot smoother yet, so I don’t know if the effect is from the balm alone or a combination of both (the little foot-shaped scrub came free with the Foot Magic).

Pros of Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Foot Magic:

  • Does what it claims, moisturises skin, softens and smooths.
  • The fragrance is mild.
  • Does not have to be used every single day to maintain the results.
  • Provides a relaxing effect to tired feet because of the spearmint and eucalyptus oils.
  • Palmer’s is a cruelty free brand and does not test on animals

Cons of Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Foot Magic:

  • Non-availability in India.
  • Priced higher than other drugstore foot creams such as Nivea/Garnier, etc.

IMBB Rating:

4.75/5
