My Experience with Palmer’s Dark Chocolate and Cherry Cocoa Butter Formula Ultra Moisturizing Tinted Lip Balm:

Palmer’s Dark Chocolate and Cherry Cocoa Butter Formula Ultra Moisturizing Tinted Lip Balm Review

The main reason behind picking this pretty little lip balm up was the amazing blend of dark chocolate and cherry! I mean, really, who can resist this delicious blend? This lip balm comes in a tiny white packaging with colourful fonts all over it. It has a nice twisty thing at the bottom which is very convenient to use. It is very travel friendly due to its tiny frame.

It contains SPF 15 which, indeed, is really necessary to avoid lip pigmentation. Lip pigmentation is a serious issue which doesn’t go away easily, so look out for SPF while getting lip balms. The bullet is red in colour and has tiny micro shimmer particles, but these particles are not very visible on the lips. The bullet is different from the usual ones, it comes in an oval shape. The moment I open the lid, I can smell the heavenly fragrance of dark chocolate and cherry, the smell is amazing and yummy. The fragrance lasts for a minimal time of 20 minutes or so after application.

The lip balm has a smooth consistency which is why it gets evenly applied on the lips. The consistency is buttery and not that heavy too, hence feels light on the lips and not waxy at all. In order to get a nice visible tint, I have to swipe it at least 3-4 times on my lips. The tint is a decent reddish pink one which gives a natural flush to the lips. It does not look artificial at all on the lips. In fact, the moment I apply it, my face starts glowing and looks clean and better, I don’t know why,  but it does!

It might be not suitable for pigmented lips since the tint isn’t very pigmented. The reddish pink colour lasts on the lips for a very less time of 30 minutes or so and then vanishes away completely. Hence, I was a little disappointed with this. It makes lips soft and supple and makes them appear fuller, but it does not completely treat chapped lips as something more effective is needed to heal them; hence it is not a perfect pick for winters.

Adding to it, it irritated my lips a bit and I felt the urge to scratch them all the time and then I had to wipe it off completely. The expiry date is after 2 years, don’t know why this happened!

Cons of Palmer’s Dark Chocolate and Cherry Cocoa Butter Formula Ultra Moisturizing Tinted Lip Balm:

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Palmer’s Dark Chocolate and Cherry Cocoa Butter Formula Ultra Moisturizing Tinted Lip Balm?
Yes, it is a decent lip balm and most importantly a very affordable one. But, it did not suit my lips very well. I clearly don’t know the reason behind it. We have some other good lip balms available in the market too.

IMBB Rating:
2.5/5

Conclusion:
This lip balm was a total mixed bag for me, but I would not like to recommend it. We have better ones with a more pigmented tint for the lips and healing ability, other than that I love the Cocoa Butter range by Palmer’s and would recommend that range to everyone.

    1. Yeah they do make good stuff.. but lip stuff is a little average.. i loved their cocoa butter lip balm a lot 🙂 this was okayish 🙁

  2. If it makes your lips itch, it has to be a bad lip balm. Also, since the tint does not stay for long, it’s actually not worth it, even if it’s that cheap!
