Palmer’s Skin Success Eventone Fade Cream for Oily Skin Review

Hello girlies!

Palmer’s has been one of the trusted brands when it comes to skincare. Also, this brand is specially targeted to ladies who have given birth recently and want some good solution to after-birth skin care issues. Of course, I am not one of them, but I do have uneven skin tone and acne marks. Although, the marks go away after treating them, they tend to come back soon. I got an amazing cream from Palmer’s a year back and loved how it treated my skin. It did all that it promised. I couldn’t find that here, but found an alternative, and that too from the same brand. Let’s see whether this worked like the last one or not!

My Experience with Palmer’s Skin Success Eventone Fade Cream for Oily Skin:

This face cream is basically made for pregnant women who face discolouration issues, but anyone with such a problem can use it. They have different variants for different skin types and as I have combination skin, I picked up the oily skin variant. The cream comes inside a big size box with very colourful packaging. The box contains the cream, one leaflet explaining each and every thing about the cream and to my surprise I got even tone fade soap free. The tub comes in a white colour with some fresh colours all over the tub. The tub is made up of glass so it needs to be handled with care, but since the size is small, it can be easily carried around while travelling.

The cream is white in colour and the consistency of the cream is really thick. I have not yet seen a cream as thick as this one, but because of the thickness a very less amount is needed. Despite its thick consistency, it gets absorbed very quickly into the skin. It has a floral fragrance mainly like the sunflowers, although I enjoyed the fragrance initially, over time I started to get irritated with the smell. The fragrance vanishes after an hour or so. The cream does contain SPF content, so I use it only during the day as well as bed time. Talking about the claims, I feel this was a mixed bag. My mom and I, both were using it together to test it since I have acne marks and she has pigmentation/age spots.

After 3 weeks, I could say my skin tone definitely looked even. I had some dark patches around my mouth and nose area and they seemed to have reduced a lot. Also, my acne marks started to show a difference since the very first week. They took a good time to fade away, but now after 3 weeks they look 75% lighter as to what they looked before. You need to have a lot of patience with this one. You have to use it continuously day and night to see what you had expected.

For me, the results were satisfactory, but for my mom they weren’t. She has pigmentation on her skin and although she used it for the same duration, it did not make a major difference. The marks looked the same. So, I think this is good for petty spots, and pigmentation is something that only a dermatologist can treat and not these creams. So, I think anyone who has stubborn scars can try this.

Pros of Palmer’s Skin Success Eventone Fade Cream for Oily Skin:

• A very good description about the product is given
• A very little product is needed to be used at a time and can be used at morning as well at night time
• The packaging is very decent and the small tub can be carried around
• It has a very floral fragrance and the sunflower smell dominates the fragrance
• It is very thick in consistency and hence gets absorbed in like 10 seconds
• It is very effective on acne scars if used over 2-3 weeks, morning and night
• It contains SPF too, so no need of a different sunscreen
• It has also given an even tone to my skin; the dark patches around my face and nose has reduced
• Makes my skin very soft and supple when I get up the very next day

Cons of Palmer’s Skin Success Eventone Fade Cream for Oily Skin:

• Tub packaging, which is made of glass, is not that convenient to dip in fingers and to carry as well
• No time to massage it because it gets absorbed instantly
• Face may feel a little heavy after application
• Will require patience and you have to use it for at least 3 weeks to see the results completely
• That sunflower fragrance feels irritating after a while
• Low availability in India
• If they say age spots might reduce, I think that wasn’t true because my mom did not see any major change in her pigmentation

Will I Repurchase/Recommend Palmer’s Skin Success Eventone Fade Cream for Oily Skin?
Yes, if you can get this, then this is surely better than the other creams in the market. Most of the creams promise these things, but don’t deliver the results. At least this one does its job, if not very brilliantly. You will definitely see a difference in your skin. Palmer’s eventone fade range has been the most effective on my skin till date.

Conclusion:
I have used 2 variants of the fade creams, one was cocoa butter and one is this. But, if I had to advise you to choose between the two, I would pick up the cocoa butter version any time over this one because I feel it cleans up my skin in an effective manner and in lesser time than this.
