Palmolive Aroma Shower Gel ‘Morning Tonic’ Review

Hello IMBB Beauties! Today Iโ€™m reviewing Palmolive Aroma shower gel โ€˜Morning Tonicโ€™. We all love tangy citrus and fresh blossom smelling shower gels and body washes during summers. I do not like getting up early in the mornings so I try to motivate myself for an early morning shower by nice a smelling shower gel. When I spotted this bright lime green shower gel by Palmolive, I could not stop myself from buying it.

gel
My experience: The shower gel is packaged in a lime green transparent plastic bottle with a darker green flip cap at the top. I find the packaging quite attractive and that was one of the main reasons why I picked up this shower gel. The gel itself is also transparent yellow-green coloured and runny in consistency. The smell is quite refreshing- not one of the regular citrusy or lemony smells. This one has more grassy fragrance which is neither very mild nor very strong. The one I look for in a shower gel/body was is lasting power of the scent. I like the scent to linger on for a while. But sadly this one did not fulfil my expectations.
foam
The gel is neither moisturizing nor drying. I have normal skin and donโ€™t generally require a moisturizer for the body in summers. After a bath, my skin feels comfortable and does not need a moisturizer. Used alone or with a loofah, the gel produces average lather but used with The Body shop exfoliating gloves, the lather reduced considerably. The scent is good for summers but I did not like to enough to feel excited about taking a shower (unlike TBS Strawberry bath range ๐Ÿ˜› )

PROs of Palmolive Aroma Shower Gel

1. Sturdy, attractive packaging with flip cap- easy to use and hygienic.
2. Refreshing scent of lemongrass and tangerine to liven up a groggy morning.
3. Produces decent lather used on bare skin or loofah.
4. Donโ€™t require too much product for the body- 250 ml will last a long time.
5. Neither moisturizing nor drying. Normal skinned people wud not need to moisturize in summers.

CONs of Palmolive Aroma Shower Gel

1. Doesnโ€™t lather well when used with bath gloves.
2. Scent does not linger after bath (maybe be a PRO for some people)
3. The gel is quite runny- I end up squeezing out more than required at times.

Overall verdict: It is a decent shower gel good for summers because of its refreshing scent. The scent is not strong or citrusy- its more grassy with a lemony undertone. It lathers up well for a gel except for when used with bath gloves. The scent does not linger after the bath. Is neither drying nor moisturizing. Overall an average product- the only great part is the packaging, I love the packaging!

Rating: 3.5/5 (for reasons listed above)

Will I repurchase : No

More grassy than citrusy? I don’t know if I would want to smell grassy after my bath everyday :yuck:
