Palmolive Gourmet Spa Chocolate Veil Shower Cream Review

Hello bonitas,

Today, I am here with a chocolate indulgence, it is a body wash from Palmolive. I have put a small stop to my Dove bath collection purchase. As summers are here now, I can try out a variety of other body washes too, I am so happy about that, never really get much chance to use other brands because of my dry skin issues . So, let us read further to know more about this product and how it worked for me.

My Take on Palmolive Gourmet Spa Chocolate Veil Shower Cream:

This body wash is a pure chocolate pleasure, where you indulge your mind and senses equally. It is creamy, smooth, has a semi-thick consistency tending to be a little runny and is light brown in colour, more like a thick chocolate milk. There is a strong scent of chocolate and some other aroma too along with it in somewhat equal proportions. If any of you are familiar with Baileys Irish Cream, that’s the best way to describe the scent of this body wash, it smells exactly the same. It might be a bit overwhelming for sensitive noses even if you love chocolates.

The creamy chocolatey body wash lathers quite well compared to Dove body washes giving a super clean look and it does not make my skin dry too, it feels just fine, no extra satiny smooth feel. It is just like any normal body wash except the scent and is a fine product to be used during the summers. I don’t think this body wash would be sufficient for me during winters, but for now I am thoroughly enjoying it. But I am rather disappointed with the longevity of the scent, the instant you take the bath and towel dry, the scent vanishes into thin air leaving me wondering whether I just took a chocolate bath.

The packing too is lovely, coming in a transparent bottle with a dark brown flip open cap, though not very strong. The bottle is shaped with a round upper portion which curves down to a flat bottom quite similar to a woman’s body shape. The packing is not very travel friendly and can cause leakage if not properly sealed. This body wash is suitable for all skin types.

Pros of Palmolive Gourmet Spa Chocolate Veil Shower Cream:

  • Suitable for all skin types.
  • A very rich scent of chocolate to lull your senses.
  • It cleanses your body thoroughly without leaving any greasy feel.
  • It never makes your skin feel dry or stretchy.

Cons of Palmolive Gourmet Spa Chocolate Veil Shower Cream:

  • The scent might be a little overpowering for sensitive noses.
  • There is nothing exceptional about this product, just a normal body wash.
  • The aroma does not stay long, it instantly vanishes after you towel dry.
  • Not very travel friendly due to weak flip open cap.

IMBB Rating:

4/5, I would recommend this body wash to everyone irrespective of their skin types.  It’s fun to indulge once in a while to relieve your mind from stress and awaken your senses.
