Palmolive Naturals Irresistible Softness Black Orchid & Moisturising Shower Milk Review

Hello folks!

Most of us have grown up using bar soaps and since the ‘body wash/shower cream’ evolution hit the world and our ever-progressing India, we witnessed a plethora of these products launched by many national and international FMCG/personal care companies. The reception of the consumers increased in this segment compared to conventional bar soaps. And here we are, enjoying a gigantic storm of amazing texture, wonderful fragrances and a different bathing experience! Voila!

Palmolive Naturals Irresistible Softness Black Orchid & Moisturising Shower Milk

I have started using body washes for almost 4 years now and of late I have become a big fan of body washes and shower creams/milk. I remember my first experience when Lux has launched their body wash range and wooed the entire nation with this new concept in India. Initially, I was very curious to know the difference between body wash and shower cream, and then got to know that basically it is about texture and concentration. Shower gel / creams have a firmer, gel-like consistency and body wash is more like a liquid soap.

Well, I am not a brand loyal especially when it comes to bath and shower. I really like shopping different brands and love experimenting with loads of toiletry products. The first and last thing I check while buying body washes is their aromatic smell. Honestly, almost all the brands do almost the similar job, but what stands out is their fragrance. Every month, I try different fragrances and this month I purchased Palmolive from Sainsburys and here I present the review.

Packaging and Consistency:
It comes in a white and purple long oval bottle with a flip top lid. The shower milk is in a light mauve color with medium creamy consistency (lighter than shampoo though). The product contains Aloe Vera, and is made with ‘100% natural origin of orchid’. However, when you check the list of ingredients, you will see all sorts of chemicals mentioned!

The bottle has been recently revamped and now it is rather in good quality. The packaging is quite basic but perfectly fine to hold with wet hands. You need a little to squeeze to apply to your loofah or sponge.

My Experience With Palmolive Naturals Irresistible Softness Black Orchid & Moisturising Shower Milk:

I have an oily skin, so I am usually not bothered about my skin getting dry after shower. Frankly, I have never smelt black orchids so really don’t know the real fragrance, but this is really good. Obviously, it has a floral scent which is perfect to freshen up the lazy soul after a deep slumber.

Just squeeze a little and then apply to the damp skin and it lathers effectively and really smells nice. You can feel light creamy soft bubbles over the skin. It cleanses the skin, rinses perfectly leaving my skin soft. My skin doesn’t feel dry or greasy, so I am quite happy with the end result. In addition to this, the soft feeling remains the same throughout the day.

I have used a lot of Palmolive products over the years and have always been pleased with them. However, I am particularly a big fan of Imperial Leather Bath range because of their variety of fragrances. Nevertheless, I am quite open to try almost all brands from Dove, Nivea to Body Shop, Palmolive. Oh! The list is endless! I was really looking forward to trying this Black Orchid version and I found this quite soothing. The only downside is that the smell doesn’t linger for too long, so the fragrance of rare black orchid doesn’t travel from bathroom to bedroom. But if you look at it, we anyway apply body lotion or perfume after our bath so it solves the issue!

Pros Of Palmolive Naturals Irresistible Softness Black Orchid & Moisturising Shower Milk:

• Leaves skin soft and soothing.
• Lovely fragrance.
• Cleanse the skin perfectly.
• Has a good moisturising quality.
• Doesn’t leave the skin dry.
• Pocket friendly.

Cons Of Palmolive Naturals Irresistible Softness Black Orchid & Moisturising Shower Milk:

• The smell evaporates quite soon!
• Not available in India!
