Pantene Color Preserve Shine Shampoo and Conditioner Review

Pantene Color Preserve Shine Shampoo and Conditioner

How many of you have found certain products that you would never change to try something else…I am done with my skin but still my hair needs that “IT” shampoo and conditioner. I have tried a couple of shampoos where some gave average results and some ruined my hair. I have had certain bad hair days where I didn’t even feel like going out, the dull and limp look depressed me. Today I would be reviewing one of the shampoos and conditioners from Pantene that’s targeted towards color-treated hair.

My experience with Pantene Color Preserve Shine Shampoo and Conditioner:

I have been battling dry and frizzy hair since moving here and as I have colored hair, things went from bad to worse. I had wanted to go for something mild and moisturizing ….ahh!! The word moisture rings hypnotizing bells for my ears and I gave in. I spotted this along with some more elite brands like Redken, Pureology, Fekkai, BB etc…but to say honestly I had no intention of spending $30 on a shampoo …that’s so me..lol!! As I was browsing the hair care aisle, I saw this and all the details on the label matched my requirements…this is how I bourght this home.

The next morning I couldn’t wait for the shower and here I used the shampoo and thought…”.wow it has such a nice smell” and all along the hair washing session,  I realized how soft my hair felt, I was so proud of myself to have got this. I used the conditioner from the same range after washing the hair and believe me they haven’t felt so soft in years. This was the day of Durga puja and you might know it is the most important festival for us . There is only one Durga puja celebrated in the whole area of Seattle so we had to go. I grabbed the hair dryer so that I could get ready sooner but somehow I felt a sort of stickiness in my hair but I dimissed it as some sort of buildup. The next day I washed my hair and got more sticky and worse. I stopped using the conditioner but that didn’t help either so I had to get a hair buildup cleansing shampoo. I have never in my life had such a bad experience with a shampoo, it has caused the worst waxy buildup of my life. The huge bottle is still lying around and my husband says it works well on his hair 😀 Hence I always tell him, “Even if I put dishwashing liquid in your shampoo bottle you’ll say this shampoo is great :P” and he always laugh’s out loud 😀

It must be pretty clear by now how this range works. I did think that even if the shampoo was disgusting, this conditioner might be good. It was my bad call that I got two huge bottles of this shampoo and conditioner. I could use the shampoo as a foot bath or hand wash but the conditioner is useless. I have never been a fan of Pantene as during my college years it gave me the worst hair fall and this time again it failed horribly again…I will never go back to this brand again.

Would I recommend Pantene Color Preserve Shine Shampoo and Conditioner ?

Never even to my enemies, stay miles away if you spot this. I had to use vinegar and clear up shampoo to get rid of all the wax from my hair, can you believe it?
