Pantene Pro-V Nature Fusion Intensive Restoring Hair Mask-Review

Hello readers!

For the last few months my hair had become really dry and rough, so I was on the lookout for a good hair mask. I spotted this one in the supermarket and purchased this at whim on my recent trip to Dubai. Here’s the review.

Product Description:

There is no description as such on the container. According to the website, “Rejuvenates weak and tired hair for a healthier, shinier and fuller state. Enhanced by Pro-V and plant-derived ingredients for deeper hair nourishment. To be used once a week.”

Price:

14 AED for 200ml

My experience with Pantene Pro-V Nature Fusion Intensive Restoring Mask:

My hair type: Thick, wavy, dry and frizzy with normal to dry scalp.

Since the product had the word ‘intensive restoring’ on it, I had thought it might be on the lines of a deep conditioner i.e. a little thick in consistency but I was disappointed. The consistency turned out to be like any other conditioner for normal hair. It is neither too thick nor runny. According to the directions, this should be applied on wet hair and rinsed after 2 minutes.

The packaging is a bit tacky too. Getting open the jar while in shower is bit of a work! But then most of the hair masks are available in jars, so I was ready to compromise on this aspect.

However, this did nothing for my thick dry hair. It worked like any other average hair conditioner. My hair was still dry in spite of using this religiously for 2 months. I even tried altering the amount of product just to make sure I was using the right amount. But I saw no positive result. It only has a nice fragrance which lingers even after it is washed off, which is probably the only reason I still continue to use it.

Pros of Pantene Pro-V Nature Fusion Intensive Restoring Mask:

• Lovely fragrance.
• Budget friendly.
• Spreads evenly throughout the hair.

Cons of Pantene Pro-V Nature Fusion Intensive Restoring Mask:

• Did not make my hair soft or any less drier.
• Tacky packaging.

Verdict:

Sadly, this product did not work. I would have preferred a thicker consistency mask for my thick hair.
Will I buy it again: A definite no.

  1. I guess there are no miracle hair masks, except for the one that Rati wrote about- L’occitane Repairing Shine hair mask, its in my wishlist 🙂

  2. hey thnk u so mch for the review. i was looking for this product’s review. btw, can it be applied to hair root? I am finding the consistency like that of a conditioner. I have never tried this kind of mask before.

  3. the nature fusion shampooo and conditioner dried out my hair like nothing else… they almost started looking like hay… this one seems to be no exception…. nice review!

    1. try sunsilk keratinology pack… its the best affordable pack i’ve tried in some time…. and nothing beats oiling the hair each time before shampooing! try it… needs a little patience though! 🙂

      1. Yep, I always oil my hair before a hair wash and I am planning on buying the Sunsilk pack once this gets over. Thanks for the tip! 🙂
