  1. I am not aware of the paraben free products but i can recommend makeup products:

    Compact : lakme/MAC skinfinish
Loose powder : Lakme (if you have a compact, you could skip the loose powder)
    BB cream: ponds and Maybelline

  2. Brands- the bodyshop , khadi , just herbs
Makeup- BB cream- ponds, maybelline, lakme
Compact- lakme radiance, maybelline dream matte compact
Loose powder- bourjois, the body shop mineral powder

  3. Hi,

Skin care brands which are cruelty free include Himalaya Herbals, FabIndia , Biotique , Khadi. Atleast these are the ones I am aware of. However you can check the ingredient list as some of the products may contain the chemicals you mention, but some, not all. For example, FabIndia Neem Pack contains SLES and Parabens, where as FabIndia Neem Tulsi Scrub does not. So you have to check. Same goes for Biotique and Himalayas (this one mostly contains parabens). Khadi products are always paraben and SLS free, but not all that effective. While some products are excellent others are just average, or some just plain duds.

Among BB creams, Colorbar BB cream is paraben free. For other makeup products, I am not aware. You can refer the above answers, I agree with them.

    Hope that helped. 🙂

      1. Hain? *shock* I dint know that..they put it in bold letters on their every product..”paraben and sulfate free” *waiting*

  4. With Indian herbal companies, the problem is that there is a lack of transperacy in the system. Many will list just the active herbal ingredients and completely bypass listing the inactive ones which are the silicones, parabens and SLES etc. So, THE BODY SHOP is a safe option as they give you a complete list (some of their products do have SLES) and is easily available in India. However, some like Kama do give out the whole list. Lush sadly shut stores on India, but you can still ship it out to India from their Dubai site after paying the import duties. Another excellent option is Organic Surge easily available online and very well priced. Their shampoos are paraben, fragrance, SLES free (no idea about the cruelty free part). Physicians Formula has certain range of organic make up, but purchase is a problem, unless you are willing to pay the exorbitant shipping charges of the international websites.
