This post is in reply to the question asked from ASK IMBB Gang about Party Makeup.
I went with Rima’s advice and did the blinding red lipstick look…using Colorbar Velvet Matte lipstick Hot Hot Hot, and on my eyes I applied Mac eyeshadow Honey Lust on the eyelids, and Mac eyeshadow Shroom on the brow bone. I used a liquid eyeliner on the upper lash line…..Oriflame Giordani Gold Lacquer Perfection eyeliner (it has a shine to it, but no shimmer)….and on the lower lash line I used Revlon Colorstay twist up eyeliner pencil in black…..and Mac Zoom Lash Mascara.
I know with the frosted eyeshadows and bold red lipstick, I should have gone easy on the blush and used a peachy matte shade, but I couldn’t resist myself from using Mac Mineralise Skinfinish Stereo Rose.
Everyone at the party complimented me on my make up look and esp. they all liked the cheeks! Due to all the excitement of the party, I got a burst of pimples on my forehead just a day before the party…..usually happens just when I have an important function to attend….I just don’t know why….I have also heard others complaining about this happening to them as well.

you know, since you have small eyes and hooded lids, you should try to avoid dark liner all around the eyes and go for a winged eyeshadow look. it will make your eyes look larger 🙂

Rima has given a nice tute . A little tip I learnt during my classes for asian eyes was that you can go with one stark colour on your lid if you want to do smokey eyes and don’t line your eyes till your inner corners. Go two third keeping the maximum concentration of colour on the outer corners. Hope it helps you. 🙂
Oh oh..I saw that tip on E News yesterday – line only the outer corners to make you eyes look bigger..they used a darkish shadow with an angled brush ?:-) ?:-) made a diff in the before and after shots. Was a Loreal makeup artist giving all these tips 😀 😀

Err..no its a program on I think Zee Cafe..is a US program..shown here…so they were doing breakdowns of Emmy looks…and giving ideas on cheaper gowns which looked quite like the Emmy superexpensive ones, etc. E News – entertainment news…hollywood gupshup 😀 😀

And that is where I have seen it!!! Haaa..was wondering and wondering about it…Avon..I think think think I have seen it in the brochure…ohhh these look good. Am always so reluctant to try their brochure stuff cos their bags were a bad experience 😀 My friend got an Avon bracelet..with a tiny rhinestone in it..a breast cancer campaign related one…was sooooooooo cute…didnt come after that though in the brochure 🙁

Bold reds and maroons can make the rest of your face look poale as it is.. I pair my peachy rose blush with everything and it works ALWAYS!!

Thanks so much, Mrun. On a daily basis, I never wear red lipsticks, just pinks, peaches, corals and pinkish browns. My reds are exclusively for party wear!
