Pat McGrath Labs MatteTrance Lipstick McMenamy Review

Lipsticks by Pat McGrath Labs have been very popular for a few months now and they keep on expanding the range over time. Initially, I bought one shade from the range and now I have quite a few of her ‘MatteTrance Lipstick’. The shades I own are 1995, Omi, Flesh 3, Full Panic, Elson, Obsessed, McMenamy, Antidote, Full Blooded, and Vendetta. Yes, that’s a lot but these are the best lipsticks I have ever tried. The shade that I will be reviewing today is called ‘McMenamy’.

Price: $38
Product Description:
A revolutionary lipstick so luxurious and richly pigmented, it drenches lips in a lightweight veil of opaque colour while delivering a mesmerizingly modern matte finish. Sensually creamy and brilliant in texture, this collection evokes the femme fatale siren with every application. Colour and finish so sinful, your pout will speak volumes without ever whispering a word.

My Experience with Pat McGrath Labs MatteTrance Lipstick McMenamy:

Pat McGrath Labs MatteTrance Lipstick McMenamy Packaging

The Pat McGrath Labs MatteTrance Lipstick comes housed in a very beautiful metallic black case with moulded gold lips on it. The case is quite heavy and screams luxury. The black with gold detailing makes it look very luxe and classy. The names of the brand and shade are printed on the bottom of the tube.

The shade ‘McMenamy’ is a deep burgundy red shade with a slight brown undertone. This shade would suit most skin tones. The pigmentation of this shade is unreal. It delivers full opacity in just a single swipe. It feels very smooth and soft on the lips. Though the lipstick looks extremely matte in the bullet it has a slight sheen after application.

It does not have any fragrance, which makes it perfect for people who don’t like scents in their lip products. The formula feels like a dream on the lips. It is extremely lightweight and makes lips look fuller and plumper. The MatteTrance Lipstick also doesn’t cling on to dry patches of the lips. It doesn’t settle into the fine lines of the lips either.

This lipstick is not transfer-proof but the pigment doesn’t go away from the lips even when you eat or drink. I didn’t notice any feathering with this lipstick. I get around 9 hours of wear time with eating and drinking and the product doesn’t even dry out my lips.
