Patanjali Rose Face Wash Review

Hope you all are doing great!!! I love anything that spells ‘ROSE’!!! Rose lip balms, shower gels, lotions, perfumes – just everything! I am really fond of rose water as well. I have been using Patanjali rose water since quite some time now and I must say that it is really good! It smells like PURE rose water. At times, I end up opening some rose scented product, take a quick sniff and put it back! This is how crazy I am about rose scented products. So, moving on to the review now! The product I would be reviewing today is “Patanjali Rose Face Wash”.

Patanjali+Rose+Face+WashProduct Description: Rose face wash made from natural extracts of Rose, Neem & Aloe which cleanse gently, nourish and revitalize the skin tissues, to make the complexion fresh, smooth and beautiful. It is useful for dry and rough skin and reduces pimples.

Price: INR 60 for 60 grams.

Ingredients:

Patanjali Rose Face Wash 1

Shelf life: 18 months.

My Take on Patanjali Rose Face Wash:

Out of all the Patanjali face washes that I have used till now, I love the Honey-Orange one the most! I generally buy face washes meant for normal-oily skin. However, the weather has started changing a bit now and my skin has started becoming a little dry (especially near the mouth area). So, I bought this face wash, as it is meant to reduce dryness. As we all know, Rose has some amazing beauty benefits. Rose water is an amazing natural toner and skin softener. It is also useful in reducing inflammation of the skin. It is often used in various forms to bring a glow on the face, works well to reduce puffiness of the eyes and is often used in Aromatherapy. Wow! One delicate little thing and so many amazing uses and benefits!! Let’s see how this rose based product worked out for me.

Packaging – The packaging is the same as the other face washes by Patanjali. It is a white colored flip-open, sturdy and travel friendly tube, with a design of roses on it. The detailed lists of ingredients, description of the product, and other details have been mentioned on the back of the tube.

Smell / Consistency This is a transparent gel (with a tinge of pink). I find the consistency a bit runny as compared to the other face washes. Irrespective of whether I use a small quantity or a bit more, it does not lather up well. I like my cleansers to give me a rich lather. The smell is really nice!!! It has a mild, but lasting rose fragrance. It lingers on for at least half an hour after cleansing. The fragrance itself makes me feel relaxed and calm.

Performance – I think this is a decent product for the price. It claims to target dryness of skin, and it does help a bit. As I mentioned earlier, the change in weather is causing my skin to become a little dry. After using this face wash, my skin feels silky smooth (probably since it has aloe in it as well). Even if I don’t apply a moisturiser for half an hour, it does not feel stretchy. It is really mild and gentle on the skin. Even though it does not lather well, this does not affect the cleansing part. Skin feels clean. As far as the claims made by this product are concerned, it definitely cleans, softens and refreshes skin. I did not have any eruptions on the skin, so I can’t really say much about the pimple fighting claim of this product. Considering it was a rose based product, I had expected it to give me a glow on the face. But nothing of that sort happened.

IMBB Rating: 3/ 5.

Verdict: This product is definitely not a dud, but is pretty ho-hum. It does make skin soft and smooth, and dry skinned beauties could give this a try. However, there are many other face washes providing similar results. So, nothing really special about this one! With the Honey-Orange one, I could see great effects of the cleanser on my skin; something that not many face washes could do. I probably won’t buy this again and might go in for something that lathers better, makes skin feel zingy fresh and glowing.
