Patanjali Saundarya Face Wash – Review

Patanjali Saundarya Face Wash- Review

Hello beauties!

I am here with a face wash review. I have been using this one for quite some time now. Actually the doctor at Patanjali Chikitsalaya gave me medicines for acne and prescribed this face wash. I was a bit hesitant as I had been using Pears face wash for a long time. Then I thought, why not give it a try. Read on to find out how effective it has been.

Product claims:

Made from the natural extract of Orange peel, Neem, Tulsi and Aloe vera which cleanse gently, nourish and revitalize the skin tissues to make complexion fresh, smooth and beautiful. It is an Ayurvedic proprietary medicine. For oily to normal skin.

Ingredients:

Citrus reticulate, Azadirachta Indica, Ocimum sanctum, Aloe vera, Gel base, Glycerin, Vitamin E, Diazolidinyl Urea and IPBC, Permitted colour and perfume.

Quantity and Price:

INR 60 for 60 g (not bad at all!!)

Usage:

Apply on wet face, massage gently for one minute and then wash. In case of contact with eyes, rinse with water immediately.

My experience with Patanjali Saundarya face wash:

This face wash has Orange peel, Tulsi, neem and Aloe Vera that are well known for their magical effects on the skin. The packaging is good and attractive. The tube has a flip open type cap which is very travel friendly and will not open easily when carried around in the hand bag. Opening the cap can sometimes be a problem for girls with long nails; it has chipped my nails many a times.

The fragrance of the face wash is mild and predominantly citrus because of the presence of orange peel. It is pleasant and vanishes after the wash. A little quantity is sufficient for washing the face. The face wash is white in color. The foam build-up is very good. I was actually looking like a snow man with it on my face. Jokes apart. It is easy to wash and leaves no slippery feeling, I guess that’s because it doesn’t have SLS. It saves water too!

It claims to remove dirt and oil. It does its job pretty well, along with dirt and oil it also removes my Lakme Insta Liner at the end of the day. When I use it in the morning, it does remove oil but after a few hours skin becomes oily again. So, it doesn’t do anything to control oil secretion. Well I guess, I am expecting too much! Coming to the acne part, it has reduced to a certain extent. I hope with prolonged use this helps me get rid of my pimples forever.

Pros of Patanjali Saundarya face wash:

• Ayurvedic ( less chemicals)
• Good packaging
• Pleasant and mild fragrance.
• Pocket friendly
• Lathers well
• Leaves the skin clean and smooth.

Cons of Patanjali Saundarya face wash:

• Availability is a problem. Available only at Baba Ramdev’s Chikitsalaya.
• Doesn’t control oil secretion.
• Doesn’t act immediately on acne.

Can’t think of any other con.

IMBB rating:

3.5/5

Will I repurchase Patanjali Saundarya face wash?

  1. Patanjali products are the most part nice and if not anything else they are great value for money!nice review dear! 🙂 and love your nail art.

  2. I would give it a 4.5 on 5. It is one of the BEST and affordable face washes available. I don’t thinkaany facewash would control oil-secretion. 😛 I really mean its goodness when I say it cz I have the most oily skin ever and this facewash is just amazing. Only once close to it is the Clean & Clear Cleanser which is also very good. 🙂

    1. Well Bhawna I think you should give a try for Aroma Magic Grape Fruit Face Wash. It really control oil, helps to control the break-outs and gives very clean feel.

  3. Well m quite confused with my face wash thing. I have tried too many but still struggling which one suits my skin best. I’ll try this one also. like your review

  4. I have used it for more that 18 months.
My experience is that it cannot control pimples even after using for twice a day and for more than a year continuous use.
Yes but it lessens the pimple causing factor, but do not removes it completely.
