Patanjali Sun Screen Cream SPF 30 Review

How are you all? We all should accept that Patanjali has established itself as a trusted brand name in the market due to its quality products and low prices. I have tried several Patanjali products and I must say some products are really best in class and there are few products which you’ll never like. With the sun playing hide and seek, these days I am trying my luck to get the best suited sunscreen for my skin type. Recently, I have tried Patanjali Sun Screen Cream SPF 30. Let me share my experience with this “Ayurvedic” sunscreen.

Patanjali Sun Screen Cream SPF 30 Review

Product Description:
Patanjali sun screen cream is made from the natural oils and extracts which protects the skin from harmful sun rays, nourish and revitalize the complexion to make skin fresh, smooth and beautiful.

It claims to have natural ingredients, but if you closely inspect the ingredients of the product and look at the “Ayurvedic” composition then you’ll realize that there is only 525 mg of Ayurvedic content which is just 0.525 g for each 10 g rest all is chemicals. So, its claim of being 100% ayurvedic isn’t true!

My Experience with Patanjali Sun Screen Cream SPF 30:

Patanjali Sun Screen Cream SPF 30 Review1

It comes in a bright, yellow and red coloured tube with white flip cap. The cap shuts tightly so there is no chance of spillage. The packaging is sturdy, hygienic and travel friendly. All the product information like ingredients, claims and usage are mentioned on the tube. The sunscreen is pale white in colour. It is runny in consistency like that of a body lotion.

The texture is creamy and very moisturising. No need to apply a moisturiser with it. The problem is if you apply a little more than the desired quantity, it will leave a white cast on the skin. I didn’t like its fragrance; it reminds me of some mosquito repellent cream. The smells stays for long time after application which is bad because the smell is really strong and unpleasant. The cream spreads easily and gets absorbed by the skin after massaging.

Patanjali Sun Screen Cream SPF 30 Review3

It leaves an oily sheen on my skin. Also, it makes my skin feel sticky. I will not recommend it for face. I don’t think it will suit oily skin at all. It didn’t break out my skin when I used it for the first time on my face, but now I am using it on my arms and legs only. It keeps my arms and feet well moisturised for almost 6-7 hours. I will give it full marks on this part. My skin didn’t get tanned. But I am just waiting to get it finished. I am looking for a better sunscreen for my skin; I think I will go back to Lotus Herbal or Jovees.

• Moisturising

Cons of Patanjali Sun Screen Cream SPF 30:

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Patanjali Sun Screen Cream SPF 30?
No, it’s an average sunscreen with a strong fragrance. Though it is very moisturising, there are better products in the market than this. I guess this the worst smelling product of Patanjali that I have used. They need to work on their product quality.
