Patanjali Tejus Tailum Review

I am back with my second review (yes, writing for IMBB is truly an addiction!). This time I shall review a multi-purpose oil which is an addition to the Divya Patanjali list of beauty products. This oil serves as a body as well as a hair massage oil.

Let’s scroll down to see how it has fared for me.

My Take on Patanjali Tejus Tailum:

I have been using this product for the past 5 days now and I can safely say that this oil is going to be a must for me for the time to come, especially in winters, as my skin gets dry, flaky and itchy. I am now relieved that I have this Ayurvedic product to my rescue.

As of now, I am using it as a body oil after shower. Just take around 5-10 ml of the product in your palm and happily apply it on your hands, legs and wherever you feel like! It is proving to be a really nice and gentle hair massage oil as well. You can apply a little bit on your scalp and leave it overnight, it would most certainly reduce the itchiness that dandruff causes to our manes!

Packaging: It is a transparent bottle with an orange opaque cap. The cap is of the flip flop kind and can be opened as a whole as well. So when it is on the verge of getting empty, it won’t be difficult to get those last drops of oil out of the bottle. The cap is however not a very sturdy one and may leak. Hence this may not be very travel friendly.

Colour and Consistency: The oil is golden-ish yellow in colour. It doesn’t stain on clothes, as it gets absorbed really well, leaving that healthy glow on your skin ( which I can’t stop staring at! 😛 ). The consistency of the oil is runny and thus a little more than usual is required, in case you want to use it to massage a baby’s body. It isn’t sticky at all, fares really well on that aspect I would say. It softens your skin and works pretty decently for winter dryness.

Fragrance: Yes, it is a fragrant oil. A way too fragrant I would say. The fragrance would linger around you for a long long time, possibly even after you have washed yourself with soap! (yikes!! ). It contains perfume, as mentioned right below the ingredients list…which, I thought was not actually required, in my opinion. Anybody with a sensitive nose might detest this product as the fragrance is very dominant. It smells of sandalwood predominantly. I, personally, do not have a problem with it though.

Pros of Patanjali Tejus Tailum:

  • Inexpensive.
  • Effective on both body and hair.
  • Impressive ingredients list.
  • Ideal product for winters and dry skinned people.

Cons of Patanjali Tejus Tailum:

  • Very strong fragrance (not much of a con for me, but definitely for those who prefer fragrance-free products)
  • Weird cap, product doesn’t come out of the nozzle the way you expect it to!
  • My mother and father both are also loving this product and patting my back to have bought something useful for the whole family!! (ahh.. for once!! it feels good.. *sob sob* )

  1. Nice, accurate review. I use this. It works as good as any pricey oil sold by the over-reputed brands. Yes, the only pain point is the fragrance; it has typical agarbatti kind of strong smell which just refuses to go. I am impressed with the product. I use it on my 5-year-old child and works absolutly fine. At this price, it is a round-the-year must-have for me.

    1. Thank you Sucharita… and yes i couldn’t have agreed more! It stands tall in front of other high end ( read expensive) products! A product that is safe for the little ones speaks volumes itself! 🙂
