Review:

This face wash is the classic Pears version, in orange color in a clear pack and an orange lid. The clear pack helps you see how much product you have left. The lid is a flip back style, unlike the older version which had a screw cap. It is tight enough and appears to be completely leak proof, making it perfect to carry around in your bag. However, the flow of the product from the tiny hole is a little difficult and requires a little squeezing of the pack.

There isn’t much with regards to product claim printed on the pack. Just one beauty tip: “Handle your skin delicately and wash with a circular motion”.

Directions to use are to squeeze a little gel on your fingertip. Apply on face and work up a lather. However I found it better to put a little gel on your palm, add a little water, lather up and then apply the lather on your face.

The product itself is an almost transparent, yet orange colored gel and works up a mild lather. A little gel is sufficient for use on your face.

Washing off the lather really does make one feel refreshed. The facial skin feels softer to the touch with a mild fragrance. It feels really great to use this product after removing all my makeup before heading to bed. It is very gentle and does not cause any irritation at all to the eyes and skin.

Other variants in the Pears face wash range include:
• Pears Fresh and Gentle with exfoliating beads (blue)
• Pears Oil Clear with lemon flower extract (green)

Ingredients: Water, Sodium Laureth Sulphate, Glycerin, Acrylates Copolymer, Lauryl Glucoside, Sodium Cocoyl Glycinate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Chloride, Fragrance, Dimethicone Copropyol, Sodium hydroxide, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisoisothiazolinone, Hydrolyzed Milk Protein, BHT, Disodium EDTA, Benzophenone-3, CI 14700, CI 19140

Pros of Pears Pure and Gentle Cleansing Face Wash:

1. Tight fitting lid, travel friendly
2. Clear pack, shows the quantity of product left
3. Mild soft lather
4. Leaves skin feeling fresh and clean
5. Easy mild fragrance
6. Contains glycerin and no trace of soap
7. No irritation of any kind to skin or eyes

Cons of Pears Pure and Gentle Cleansing Face Wash:

1. Getting product out of the pack is a little difficult.

Verdict: A great face wash!! There was hardly anything wrong about this product and all the claims seem to hold true. Apart from being a tried and tested product, it definitely does justify its main claim – cleans the skin gently while leaving it fresh. I think this would be the perfect facewash for people with sensitive skin that tend to breakout frequently.

Would I buy this again? – I most certainly would!!

Rating: 4/5.
