Korean beauty brands are so highly popular these days that most American and French bands are intimidated by them and have started to imitate them. Ulta and Sephora are rife with Korean skin care and makeup brands and rightly so because they do tend to perform really well. Continue on reading to know more about this lip and cheek product.

My Take on Peripera Peri’s Tint Water – Strawberry Juice:
I don’t know if Benefit Cosmetics imitated Peri’s tint as Benetint or whether it’s the other way round, but either way, both are very similar products and have same functionality.
Packaging: This product comes in a clear plastic tube, it’s the size of my pinky finger and has a pink twist cap which has a sponge applicator attached to it. The cap has a cartoon print of a cute girl which is the signature of Peripera brand.
Texture: This tint has a runny consistency; calling it colored water is a better description. If I were to crush a few strawberries, sieve them and add the liquid to water, then I would get this exact tint; however, it is way more long lasting than natural juices because we all can agree that plain juice and water would vanish in a smack.
Color: It’s like concentrated strawberry extract in water – that’s how I would describe the color of this product. I love this color and it would go on most of the skin tones because it looks very natural and adds a rosy hue to the lips which can go well even without any other makeup on the face.
Pigmentation: It is a lip tint and hence is meant to add just a bit of tint to lips and not offer extreme coverage. It is more apparent on cheeks when used as a blush and adds a very healthy flush to face. The color can be built up but only to a certain extent.
Shimmer and Shine: No shimmer and shine. Once it dries, it looks like skin with its natural color and nothing else on it.
Fragrance: This tint has a citrusy fragrance, like how ripe strawberries would smell like. I like the fragrance but it does vanish after some time.
Staying Power: It has a good wear time for just a tint. It is waterproof to a large extent and was on my lips even after meal and drinks. It might fade a little but not too much.
Pros of Peripera Peri’s Tint Water – Strawberry Juice:
- Sponge applicator is good and helps in applying the product evenly on the lips.
- Can be smudged with fingers.
- Can be used both on lips and cheeks.
- Comes in 5 different colors.
- Looks absolutely natural and is perfect for a “no makeup” look.
- Gives a good wear time, waterproof.
- Not that expensive.
- Most Korean brands are easily available online.
Cons of Peripera Peri’s Tint Water – Strawberry Juice:
- Packaging is a bit tricky because it tends to slip out of hand and if that happens, all the product will spill out, I speak with experience.
- It is not for those who need high coverage.
Would I Repurchase Peripera Peri’s Tint Water – Strawberry Juice?
I have mixed feelings about this product – should I go for something which looks like I applied fruit juice on my lips? I don’t know, but again, it is a unique product and definitely worth a try. I might buy a few more shades in the future.
