I splurge a lot of money on face and eye creams. Face masks and lip balms can be from drugstore brands but for the former two, have to be from trusted brands for me. Since a good moisturizer is expensive, I invest in one good one and then clean the jar dry till I invest in a new one. I used a moisturizer from the brand Philosophy for a couple of months till I ran out of it and then the one by Estee Lauder and now I am using Mega Rich Intensive Anti-Aging Creme from Peter Thomas Roth.

My Experience with Peter Thomas Roth Mega Rich Intensive Anti-Aging Creme:
As I grow old, I have started to include a lot of chemicals and acids in my skin care routine to maintain the quality and texture of my skin and to prevent premature ageing. I wanted to begin the change in my skin care regime by changing my daily moisturizer. I had my eyes set on one by Tatcha or Drunk Elephant, but for them, I would have to unstring my purse way too much, so I settled for more affordable brands like Peter Thomas Roth. This is my experience with a moisturizer from this brand and it fared well.
This product comes in a 1.7 oz size jar. The jar appears to be of a decent size, but there is another smaller jar inside which holds the product, but irrespective of the size, it does hold the quantity mentioned. It is a sturdy, leak-proof jar and I admire its simplicity.
The product is in the form of a usual thick moisturizing lotion and resembles more of a cold cream than a runny daily lotion. The crème is pale yellow in color and has a faint citrus fragrance. It has the right amount of oil content. The moisture and oil content has to be higher than usual for me because my skin is very dry and always thirsty for extra moisture.
This product claims to be a combination of biological and chemical ingredients. It is advertised to be manufactured via a patent-pending PTR Firma-CELL-4™ peptide technology which is a powerful antiaging complex with four different molecular-sized 100 percent-active peptides. This complex helps firm, tone, smooth, and clarify the look of skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It is also rich with the antiaging benefits of lactic and malic AHAs; vitamins A, C, E; pro vitamin B5; sea algae; and botanicals. It is free of sulfates and phthalates.
This creme has a long ingredient list, but fortunately, most of them are essential natural extracts or beneficial chemicals. I had realistic expectations from this product and it did fulfil them. This creme added moisture to my skin, did not break me out, made my skin soft and supple after 2 weeks of continuous use. It also reduced my laugh lines and appearance of pores. So, overall I am a happy consumer and do recommend this creme to others as well.
It also has an eye cream version which also has good customer reviews and is gentle on the sensitive skin

Cons of Peter Thomas Roth Mega Rich Intensive Anti-Aging Creme:
- Availability can be an issue for some but I think Sephora ships worldwide now.
- Can be pricey for some (especially if bought in INR).
- The quantity should be a little more for the money paid.
Would I Repurchase Peter Thomas Roth Mega Rich Intensive Anti-Aging Creme?
It is a good skin cream which worked well for me. It reduced the appearance of pores and fine lines and provides a great base for my makeup. I do recommend it to others and it is worth the money spent.
