My Experience with Peter Thomas Roth Mega-Rich Conditioner:
After reviewing Peter Thomas Roth Mega-Rich Shampoo, I am here to review the conditioner from the same range. This conditioner is a pale yellow, creamy conditioner that is not very thick in consistency. Even for my fine, thick hair, I don’t need too much product. It is more or less easy to spread evenly on my hair. I wait about a minute or so after applying it, after which I can easily de-tangle my hair with my fingers. Then, I wash it off.
The fragrance is a mild one that reminds me of L’Occitane shampoos and conditioners, but this one is a lot milder. As opposed to drugstore conditioners, this one won’t make your hair seem magically smooth and detangled right after you apply it (I think that drugstore conditioners are a little deceptive in that sense). But once you’re done washing your hair, you will notice that it looks healthy. This conditioner leaves my hair looking voluminous and radiating with a healthy shine. Of course, it also makes it a lot more manageable and the effects last for two to three days, which is good enough.
It is definitely a weightless conditioner, that is, it doesn’t weigh my hair down at all. My hair feels light as ever. It also keeps my hair calm and tame, which is a very important criterion for me.
Although, I don’t have any hair fall problem, I should mention that this conditioner does not cause any hair breakage or damage for me. It does have a nourishing effect on my hair.
However, it doesn’t seem to have the best ingredients. Given that this one and the L’Occitane conditioner are in more or less the same price range, I would opt for the latter (since it is free of both silicones and parabens and it does it fairly good job with my hair).
Pros of Peter Thomas Roth Mega-Rich Conditioner:
- Leaves the hair feeling soft, smooth, healthy and shiny.
- Detangles the hair and makes it manageable.
- Hair feels calm and tame.
- Hair feels light and weightless.
- Effects last for a few days.
- Mild, pleasant fragrance.
Cons of Peter Thomas Roth Mega-Rich Conditioner:
- Parabens and loads of other chemicals!
Would I Repurchase Peter Thomas Roth Mega-Rich Conditioner?
Although I really like this conditioner, I would still opt for L’Occitane Volumising Conditioner (which is another one that I currently use—it is free of silicones and parabens) as it costs more or less the same.
