Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Peel Pads Review

Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Peel Pads Review

Hello ladies,

All of us want to stay young forever and a perfect youthful skin is something every woman wishes for.  One of the ways women try to get youthful skin is through acid peeling.  “Oh My God, acid on face?” if this is your reaction, then let me tell you there are different types of acid peels that can be done on the skin, based on the skin type and skin concerns. Some of the popularly known acid peeling techniques are glycolic peeling, AHA peeling, etc.  But getting these peels done through professionals is a long and expensive process.  So, to make this accessible to more women and to make our life easy, some brands have come up use-at-home peeling pads, peeling creams, etc.  Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Peep Pads is a very well known option available in the market. Thanks to IMBB, I got a chance to try these.  To find out how they worked for me, please read on the review.

My Experience with Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Peel Pads:

As we all know that peeling removes old skin and brings out a new fresh layer of skin, which is younger and beautiful. I was excited to do it, but at the same time, I was scared about ruining my skin in case it does not work. I have combination skin and large pores are the main skin concern for me. I don’t have heavy wrinkles on my face but I have some very fine lines on my forehead. So when I first used the Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Peel, I was not sure what to expect.  As explained on the pack, I followed the procedure and used it in the prescribed form. I took one pad which was completely soaked in the concentrate and applied it all over my face, neck and hands. During the application, I felt slight tingling sensation, which did not last for long.  Also, as I don’t have sensitive skin, I saw no redness on my skin.

I left it on my face for 2 minutes and then washed it off with water.  I felt the skin was clean to touch while washing and was smooth too, but there was no other difference I noticed.  Next morning, when I woke up, my skin looked brighter than other days but that brightness did not last for long.  For combination skin, it is advised to use it 3-4 times a week, but as I don’t have a very aged skin, the SA in Sephora suggested me to use it not more than a week on my face.

I waited for 3 days and used this pad again on my face, and this time also, the results were same, but I noticed a drastic difference on my hands. The top side of my hands have many fine lines which I feel makes them look aged, but after using this, my skin felt visibly smoother and brighter on my hands, and also looked younger, and I was so happy.  I have attached a picture of same for your reference, I hope you are able to make out the difference.

Because my facial skin is not that problematic (touchwood!), I guess the results were not as much visible to me as it was on my hands, but I am sure that this product works, however, I am still waiting to see some more change in my visible pores. I am using this product from the last 3 weeks and the results are fine till now. Coming to the packaging, it is very wise to pack it in pad forms than selling liquid which we anyway would have to use with cotton. The pads make application easy and storing and handling also gets easy.  The pads come in a big jar with 60 cotton pads which are fully dipped in the concentrate.  Overall, I have mixed feelings about this product.  For sure, it’s a great product for aged skin or skin with lots of sun damage.  For young girls (20-35), I feel you can wait or use it for once a week treatment based on your age and skin condition. Though glycolic acid is a fruity acid which is all natural, still in young age, if you don’t have fine lines or dull skin or spots, then it’s better to wait for some more years.

Pros of Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Peel Pads:

  • Effectively peels the skin without being too harsh.
  • Does not sting too much.
  • Works on lines and wrinkles.
  • Makes skin very clean and bright.
  • Gives a glow to the skin.

Cons of Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Peel Pads:

  • Not for young skin.
  • Did nothing for my pores yet.

  1. I used AHA cream on my face once and got really bad cystic acne. I read somewhere that you skin purges out impurities when you first start an AHA regimen. I guess this doesn’t do that skin; which is great!

P.S. That’s vacation time on your nails, right? I love that polish 😛
