My Experience with Philips Dry Care Prestige Moisture Protect Hairdryer HP8280/00:

The packaging is good. It comes in a sturdy cardboard box. All the features are printed over this box. The hair dryer comes with a long cable. The cable is pretty long and makes it extremely comfortable to work. It also comes with a diffuser and a nozzle head. The nozzle head is also rosy copper in colour. The diffuser is plain white in colour.

There is supposed to be a sensor which checks the amount of moisture in hair and adjusts the temperature accordingly. Hence it’s called ‘Moisture Protect’. This feature also makes sure that the hair does not dry out completely and the moisture stays locked in. This feature helps the hair look very healthy.

The brand claims that the hair will not look or frizzy after use, and believe me, it’s true. My hair looks all shiny, silky and smooth. Now coming to the speed and temperature settings, there are 3 buttons on the handle. One is for cold air shot to set the hair styles. I do not use it much as I am not much into hairstyling. Still, it’s a good feature to have because you never know when you need it.

The other 2 switches are for temperature control and speed. I normally keep it at low temperature and medium speed to blow dry my hair for everyday use. There is also a sensor to check if the product is getting overheated. This sensor switches off the dryer in the case of overheating. I use the nozzle while straightening my hair and diffuser to dry my hair in general.

The diffuser is particularly helpful if you have frizzy hair and is perfect for curly haired people. There is also a storage hook attached to the handle of the dryer. It also comes with a two years’ guarantee. Overall, I am totally happy with the hair dryer. It’s a little pricey for a hair dryer, but I think it’s the features you pay for and it’s totally worth it.
