Philips Satinelle Epilator HP6421/00 Review

Hii!

Today, I am going to review something I bought after contemplating a lot, and that is my Philips Satinelle Epilator HP6421/00. From my higher secondary onwards I had been planning to get an epilator. But, I was not sure for the price seemed too much to me at that time and I was not at all sure whether I will be using the product. πŸ˜› So, now after two years, I researched and thought it is better for me to buy a basic one. And, when the time to buy one came, I preferred this one as it has a sensitive cap. Luckily, it was a good decision and you’ll find out why in the review! πŸ™‚

My Experience with Philips Satinelle Epilator HP6421/00:

Coming to my experience, the first time I turned ON the epilator, I OFF-ed it in less than a minute due to the pain. Not only there was redness on my arm, the noise was simply scary and annoying, plus the PAIN! OMG! That was unbearable. If you are someone who is used to waxing, you might be able to bear the pain somewhat.

After many such daring acts, the good news is that I still continue using this. However, I am less hesitant now. Though, at times, I have felt like going back to shaving and have contemplated getting a lady shaver rather than an epilator. But, for arms and underarms, trust me, this is the best! No more itchy feeling of tiny hair. And, I am somewhat getting used to the pain that epilation of arms and underarm area brings. πŸ™‚ Success! I hope that slowly the same happens to my other parts too which would be a victory for me! πŸ˜€ The way how I epilate my arms may surprise you. Hint : it’s full of screams!

Philips Satinelle Epilator HP642100 Review4

The good thing about epilation is that skin remains hair free for a longer period of time as compared to shaving. It takes out even the tiniest hair, which sometimes even razor or wax can’t catch. So, over a period of time, it makes skin softer and smoother as you cannot feel those prickly tiny hair. One thing, please don’t try without the sensitive cap on! I tried once for my underarms and it was only after that that I realised that it has been provided for a purpose. πŸ˜› (genius ME)

Cons of Philips Satinelle Epilator HP6421/00:

β€’ Pain! (But remember no pain, no gain)
β€’ You need to find an electric plug as this is not a rechargeable gadget
β€’ The epilator gets heated up if you use it for a long time. So, you need to give a pause
β€’ Chances of ingrown hair become higher when you epilate πŸ™
β€’ If you ditch your epilator for a while and then come back to it, it gifts you the irritation and redness all over again!

IMBB Rating:
3.5/5

Verdict:
It all depends on you. If you have been waxing all these time and(or) are used to the pain, you’ll love its efficacy. If you are not ready for the pain, skip it. It’s a good product, no doubt.

Hope to see you ladies soon with another review.

Till then, bye! Stay pretty!! πŸ™‚

  1. I always go for waxing, but I have epilator for emergencies and for vacations. I have been waxing for years now, so I am quite used to ‘the pain’. I feel more comfortable when I use it on my legs than arms, though.

  2. I am totally with comfy with wax till bikini line but never used epilators πŸ™ when will I gather the courage!

  3. In my case it is the opposite neha and shikha. iam totally afraid of waxing . i feels like my skin is tried to be peeled of ::((((

  4. I’m with Sana! Waxing scares me and when I do gather the courage to wax, I get tiny red boils that leaves a scar behind πŸ™ I used to shave, but started using an epilator since the past year and I love it! I still get red bumps, but nothing moisturizer cannot handle. I use the Braun epilator πŸ™‚ I love your review!

  5. well i bought BRAUN silk 3 epilator a month back and i so much love it….it takes the smallest hair out and i dont know why but i did not feel any pain.I do my waxing myself however its more handy and no wax heating and then strip and then cant see and small hairs left out issue …pain is surely not too much to bear.. just make sure hair are small when you epilate….one this which might be a concern that clean skin post wax well that i can surely take care

  6. Waxing is fine for me!
    I can’t imagine how u did epilation for under-arms!! :O
Must be painful like hell, na?????

  7. I used epillator quite sometimes. I felt painful only for the first time, then I got used to it.
But I observed that, because of the epilator my hair growth has increased a lot. So I went back to waxing now. Now my hair is back to its normal growth. That’s one major drawback of epillator!!
