I get so influenced by reviews, that now, it’s a routine to check product reviews before buying anything. Right from pin to piano, I need to know what people think about them and only then purchase anything! And when it comes to makeup, I certainly feel the urge to get a look and feel of the product before spending my hard-earned money on it 😉 So after much “investigation,” I decided to try out the Physicians Formula Argan Wear Ultra Nourishing Argan Oil Powder in the shade “Beige.” Let’s find out how it turned out.

My Experience with Physicians Formula Argan Wear Ultra-Nourishing Argan Oil Powder:

Packaging: I must applaud Physicians Formula for their awesome packaging. It’s a well-built trap for packaging suckers like me! This baby comes in a golden cardboard paper box which has all the details of the product and the brand name mentioned on it in brown. The actual product is a gorgeous dull gold compact with the powder pan placed in it.

The powder pan has some beautiful designs on it and right in the centre is a shimmery spot which enhances the beauty of the compact further. Like all other powders from Physicians Formula, this baby also comes with a mirror and brush!! The lid shuts securely and is by no means flimsy.

A+ for the packaging!

Color:  The shade that I chose was “Beige” as it does suit my complexion best. I would say the shade “Beige” is close to MAC NC 25 if that helps. I do use NC 25 on a daily basis, so this one works best for my skin tone.

Pigmentation and Texture: The pigmentation is quite commendable. It’s as pigmented as a powder foundation which I really like. If you do not have major skin issues, you can just apply the concealer and top it off with this powder, and you are good to go! The texture of the compact is very finely milled and is extremely smooth on application. It does feel powdery if you pick it up with a rough makeup brush, but after it has been blended out, it’s absolutely smooth and not chalky or powdery at all.

Smell: Ooohh, the smell!!! The fragrance is absolutely awesome ladies! It has a pleasant smell, like argan oil. The moment you open the compact, you get a strong whiff of the argan oil scent. If you have a sensitive nose, you may not appreciate the scent, but I thoroughly enjoy it.

Longevity: The staying power is approximately 4 to 5 hours and the wear time extends when applied over foundation or primer and set with a setting spray. If you have super oily skin, you may need to touch up after 3 pm, but that’s it!

Pros of Physicians Formula Argan Wear Ultra-Nourishing Argan Oil Powder:

• Blends very well.
• Does not cake up on the skin.
• Provides medium to full coverage.
• Mattifies the skin for a good 5 hours.
• Does not highlight dry patches on the face.
• Photographs well.

Cons of Physicians Formula Argan Wear Ultra-Nourishing Argan Oil Powder:

• Not a good shade range to choose from.
• A bit pricey.

Would I Recommend/Repurchase Physicians Formula Argan Wear Ultra-Nourishing Argan Oil Powder?
I would say the quality of this compact powder is between MAC Studio Fix and any other average drugstore powder. It is a good option for everyday wear. As the price is not too high, it is not that hard on the wallet the pocket. I would not repurchase this, but I sure can recommend to try it out once.
