My Experience with Physicians Formula Bronze Booster Glow-Boosting Pressed Bronzer Light to Medium:
I got hooked on to the brand when one of my favorite YouTubers spoke so highly about it. I wanted to try more from their blush, bronzer and highlight range. The bronzer I picked up is called the ‘Bronze Booster Glow-Boosting Pressed Bronzer’.
It comes in a classic shiny, front open cardboard box. The box has a hole so that it can be hung on the rods easily. Every possible product information is printed on the back side of the box. Which I mean in a good, organized way! Every related information is there in your hands to read. I find it annoying if I have to check the website to know about the product.
The main pan is inside a bulky plastic box, which is not at all travel-friendly. It’s so bulky! Under the pan, there is a small brush, which has the perfect shape for cheek contouring. And over it is a same-sized mirror. This size of the mirror is of no help to me at all, so I would rather not have it and get more product in exchange. Alas! This level of customization is still awaited in the makeup world.
Moving on, this bronzer is matte in texture and non-buttery, unlike Muru Muru. It has sparse and very fine gold shimmer to give the glow they are talking about. The shimmer is very small and not at all OTT in quantity. It kind of twinkles on the skin when applied; the site calls them ‘micro pearls’ that provide a radiant glow.
The shade I got is called Light to Medium. I am NC40 and I feel it gives a subtle bronzed effect to my skin and not at all a sharp one. I guess Medium to Dark would have given me a hard contour, but unavailability in India and online shopping are the culprits. Not me!
It has no smell whatsoever. You must tap the excess product off from the brush before application for this brush ends up picking more product than required. The bronzer does not have any orangey tone to it. It does not leave a streaky finish on the skin either. It’s a very finely milled powder which applies smoothly all over the skin.
