I am back with a review of another product that I recently started using. Earlier I used to use washable mascara, and eyeliner, but after a recent episode of teary raccoon eyes, I vowed to never use them again. So, I ended up with a lot of waterproof eye makeup products, and then of course, who could forget the eye makeup remover? I desperately needed a good one to “take the day off” of my eyes, and that too without feeling greasy or dry. Add to that, I have very sensitive eyes, and have had a very bad experience with a product I had received a sample of, so I needed to be extra careful this time. So, I searched online for a hypoallergenic and non-irritating product, and found this. Let’s see whether it lived up to my expectations or not.
This gentle formula removes even the most stubborn makeup leaving no greasy residue. Hypoallergenic. Fragrance-free. Dermatologist approved. Non irritating.
Directions To Use:
Apply a pearl-size drop to eye area and gently spread in a circular motion to lift eye makeup. Tissue off and rinse clean with warm water.
$4.99 for 2 fl. Oz. or 59 ml of product.
Water, Mineral Oil, Petrolatum, Stearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol, Ceteareth 20, Glycerin, Lanolin Alcohol, PEG 20, Sorbitol, Benzalkonium Chloride, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Blue 1.
It comes in a simple blue plastic bottle with a press-to-open cap, which is very easy to carry, and travel with. Also, its size is perfect. The best part is that the outer packaging is a clam shell packaging which has pop-together tabs which simply pull apart, and I didn’t have to cut through it. (I despise clamshell packaging! It’s so inconvenient).
My Take on Physician’s Formula Eye Makeup Remover Lotion:
So, coming to the main part, I needed to find out whether it will suit my sensitive eyes or not, and thankfully it did not fail me! I was encouraged to buy it because of the brand name (I trust physicians, I guess) and the reassuring “hypoallergenic” and “non-irritating” and when I tried it out, it worked like a dream! It easily took off my waterproof eyeliner and eyeshadow, and even worked very well with waterproof mascara. I just needed to press it slightly, and rub gently, and it all came off. No tugging, no pulling.
Best part, it did not make my eyes oily, as the dual-phase makeup removers do, even though it is creamy in consistency. I didn’t even need to use water, though I did. It’s good for both combination and dry skin, and it says “For Normal to Dry Skin” on the bottle, which is absolutely true. It is fragrance free, so there’s even less possibility of irritation. Overall, it is a really good product, at a good price.
Pros of Physician’s Formula Eye Makeup Remover Lotion:
- Removes waterproof eye makeup easily.
- Relatively cheap.
- Hypoallergenic, dermatologist approved.
- Fragrance free.
- Non irritating, so suitable for sensitive eyes.
- Does not leave a greasy residue.
- Does not require rubbing the eyes too much.
Cons of Physician’s Formula Eye Makeup Remover Lotion:
- Not available in India.
It is a great product at a good price, and I would definitely recommend it to everyone, even oily-skinned people will like this (I have very oily eyelids). Just wish it was available here!
Until next time, stay beautiful!
