Hi Girls,

Today, I will be reviewing two products, they fall in the same category and are from the same brand, so why not. Both the highlighter and the bronzer are from the brand, “Physicians Formula,” a drugstore brand. Sometimes drugstore products outshine luxurious high-end products, and these two are exactly that. These two are my first-ever Physician Formula products, and I am so glad I picked them up.

Packaging:

Physicians Formula outshines especially when it comes to packaging. The packaging is great, but how they design the actual product is phenomenal and truly beautiful. If the product was not as worthwhile as it is, I would probably have just collected and saved the Physicians Formula face products.

Price:

$13.95 each.

Powder Palette, Mineral Glow Pearls- Translucent Pearls:  This highlighter has a shiny silver mirrored finish with a cute artificial semi pearl in the center (I broke that piece off because it didn’t fit quite right in my drawer).  When you open the top completely, it lifts up another section which includes a little flat brush, along with a mirror. Since this product includes a brush and mirror, it is perfect to take it along with you wherever or apply it in the car if you are in a rush. The actual product lives up to its name, it is shaped in semi pearls varying in different sizes and different shades of champagnes, corals, and light pinks.

Happy Booster, Glow and Mood Boosting Baked Bronzer:  If the highlighter’s packaging was cute, this bronzer’s packaging is even adorable. The product is packaged in a bright hot pink container, but with a rim of the same color in a mirrored finish going around it. Similar to the highlighter, this bronzer also has a section where the mirror and brush is placed. The brush is identical to the one of the highlighter, except this brush is red and hot pink from the handle to even the bristle. The Happy Booster, Glow and Boosting Baked Bronzer also lives up to its name. The design of the bronzer inside is so adorable with a glittery golden heart right in the center, certainly makes me happy just by looking at it.

Performance:  Since the highlighter and bronzer are extremely comparable, I am going to write about them together under this section. Both fall in between extremely pigment and least pigmented, which is a perfect amount for a face product. You don’t want an extremely pigmented bronzer or highlighter that it would take minutes blending it. The highlighter is a gorgeous color, suits every skin tone. I apply it right on the cheekbones and bring it up to my temples; I also hit the center of my forehead, bridge of my nose, and the Cupid’s bow on my lips. The bronzer for me worked like a highlighter, I never use it to contour my cheeks.  For me, the bronzer is versatile, that’s why l love it, I can use it as a light bronzer, as a blush, or even as a highlighter! This bronzer is like my best friend in the summer, when I want look like I just came from the beach. Whereas, the Mineral Glow Pearls highlighter is great for the winter, especially when your skin looks dry and matte. In the center of the bronzer is a golden heart, the texture is different from the rest of the bronzer, this is due to the glitter in it which makes it a little coarse. The rest of the bronzer is smooth, medium skin tone color with micro-sparkles, which is great if you want a glow to your skin without looking dark.

I love both of these products, they provide me with healthy-looking skin all year round. After this purchase, I haven’t been much interested in looking for bronzers or highlighters. However, one thing that I wasn’t really into was the little brushes that the highlighter and bronzer came with; for me, this wasn’t a big deal since I love using my regular makeup brushes. But for someone who would care, these brushes are a little on the rough side, and they are not as dense to pick up enough product. Overall, these products are worth the recommendation to anyone and everyone who is interested.
