I don’t usually use bronzers because I have naturally dusky complexion and my skin tends to tan very easily on a very short exposure to sun. High point of my face is ironically my high cheek bones, well not that high, but I can accentuate them buy using a good blush. Bronzers are another way to do that and I recently purchased one and following is my take on it.

My Take on Physicians Formula pH Matchmaker pH Powered Bronzer:
This bronzer is an amalgam of a compact powder and a bronzer, but for my skin tone, it looked more like a compact with shimmer; however, I found a use out of it even though the shade was a bit too light for me.
Packaging: The product is in a plastic pan which is then attached to a thick, black, plastic case with a built-in mirror. It comes with a brush and LED lights attached to the sides of the mirror. The LED light feature is unique, albeit futile, except to find something in dark.
Texture: It’s a baked powder bronzer with excessive fall out and homogeneous shimmer. One can dab off the excess from the brush during application to remove any loose pigment. It is very soft in texture and blends effortlessly.
Color: Very pretty light tan-bronze hue with shimmer. The color is not dark enough to be used for contouring my face, but I still use it to set makeup under my eyes and around my mouth, and a little shimmer to my nose and cheeks.
Pigmentation: Awesome pigmentation if used as a highlighter. One sweep is enough for a cheek, in fact more than that might look too garish and unnatural. Fair skin tone people can use it as a bronzer, but I personally avoid shimmer bronzers for contouring. If one uses this product, then a highlighter is not required since it has a highlighter shade and is perfect for accentuating cheek bones, brow bone and Cupid’s bow.
Shimmer and Shine: It has a very pretty sheen to it, but one has to exercise caution while using it or face might end up looking too greasy or orange especially during summer. If used sparingly, it can give a good lift to cheek bones and other high points.
Staying Power: The entire day or till it is removed, however, the shimmer particles might transfer a little if subjected to vigorous rubbing.
This is a very pretty compact cum bronzer that comes in two shades; however, both of them are light for my skin tone. This product performs well, but it’s a bit expensive, and not that essential in our vanity.

Cons of Physicians Formula pH Matchmaker pH Powered Bronzer:
- Bulky packaging.
- Lot of fall out.
- Can’t be used to contour my face since it is too light.
Would I Repurchase Physicians Formula pH Matchmaker pH Powered Bronzer?
No, because it is just a compact with shimmer, it is not meant for my skin tone, hence I would say I wouldn’t repurchase, once was enough.
