Physicians Formula Super CC Color-Correction Care Instant Blurring CC Eye Cream Review

Today I am going to be reviewing a new product that I picked up recently. This had a new innovative kind of applicator, so I thought I’d get it and test it out.

Ultra-smoothing, multi-tasking miracle product can be used as an eye cream, primer, concealer and eye shadow base. 42% silicone and color-correcting formula minimizes the appearance of dark circles and puffiness, smoothes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Yellow corrects blue imperfections and warms skin tone. Green tones down redness. Pink brightens and illuminates. Anti-aging brighteners restore a look of radiance and smoothness. Instantly blurs, primes, protects and corrects while delivering nourishing benefits and sheer coverage.

My Experience With Physicians Formula Super CC Color-Correction Care Instant Blurring CC Eye Cream:

Packaging: It comes housed in a squeeze tube with an attached slanted metal doe-foot applicator that’s cool to touch during application. Now, this is totally impractical for two reasons: First, the applicator is too weirdly shaped to squeeze enough product out of the end to apply with your finger, since you can’t be precise because of the very wide, flat end with a hole in the middle. Second, it does not spread evenly if applied directly from the tube. I’m assuming the metal tip is more for the cooling effect, like roller-ball type products, than as an applicator. The tube itself is white with a hot pink cap. There are some colourful patterns and silver designs going on. The tube is mostly full of air and there’s very little product in it.

Texture: This is a lovely, creamy concealer. It blends very well on the skin and doesn’t feel heavy. It does not crease on me. I always use it over Clinique eye cream. This does not clump and goes on quite smoothly. I do not use this anywhere else except my under eyes.

Pigmentation: I am not sure what coverage this has. It is supposed to “blur” imperfections and it sort of does that. I do not see it doing a good job at all. It makes my under eyes shiny, which I can’t seem to capture in the swatch. I do not like this effect at all. It will not cover any dark circles, it might even accentuate them.

This product makes some really tall claims about being anti-ageing and covering up every skin problem. But that is definitely untrue. I do not have ageing issues, so can’t comment on those claims.

It is worth noting that this is paraben free, hypoallergenic, fragrance free and all those good things. It did not break me out and I never had skin issues with it.

• Does not cover up anything.
• Really hard to make it work for under eye.
• Applicator is hard to work with.

No, there are many better concealers out there.
