I have tried a lot many types of mascara lately and had the maximum expectations with this one as compared to the others. Firstly, because it looked very promising and secondly, it is the most expensive drugstore mascara that I picked! Doesn’t it look gorgeous? I am sure every woman will be pulled towards packaging like this. See how this organic mascara worked for me.

My Experience with Physicians Formula Ultra Black Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin Fake Out Mascara:

Packaging: The packaging is the main reason I picked it up. It comes in a black box with hot pink and bright lime green colour. The packaging is very gorgeous and full of colours which make it look fun and quirky. The shape of the mascara is very unique as it looks like a big sleek leaf. The leaf is pink in colour which again looks girly and cute. I think they have added this leaf packaging to resemble the “organic” mascara formulation. The cap has a very nice grip which ensures proper application. The wand again comes in pink colour and has super sharp and small bristles which ensure that my lashes get separated perfectly.

Consistency, shade and feel on the lashes: The consistency is neither too dry nor too runny. It is perfect to be layered on the lashes. The shade is called “ultra black” but I could see any such colour. The colour is a very natural black and does not add any bold black colour to my lashes at all. It feels very light on my lashes and feels like I haven’t applied anything. It is a nice one for sensitive eyes and people who wear contact lens since it did not irritate or itch my eyes.

Results: The results are very average. It separates my lashes very nicely without clumping which makes my lashes look very natural. It defines my lashes by making them look very prominent. But the claims are very tall and it did not fulfil all the claims. It gives minimum volume and length which is a bit disappointing. Also it did not curl them very well and that curl doesn’t stay for long. The results are very natural looking but this mascara claimed something else. It claimed of giving me lashes which would look like the fake ones but it did not. Also it smudges a lot and the light black colour gets deposited in my under eye area which is terrible. So overall I would say that this mascara is not worth the price.

Cons of Physicians Formula Ultra Black Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin Fake Out Mascara:

• Very tall claims.
• Length and volume was very minimal.
• Does not curl effectively.
• The colour is a normal black and not ultra black.
• Smudges a lot.
• Colour gets deposited in my under eye area when I blink.
• Doesn’t stay long.
• My lashes look normal; no such “fake look” as claimed.

Will I Repurchase/Recommend Physicians Formula Ultra Black Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin Fake Out Mascara?
No I will not! It was expensive according to the drugstore pricing and worked in a very average manner. Cheaper alternatives are available which perform much better than this one.
Conclusion: Other products I recently got from them worked brilliantly for me especially the tinted moisturizer, so I will get more stuff from them for sure!
