Physicians Formula Waikiki Strip/Peachy Glow Bronzer, Blush and Eye Shadow Review

Here I am again reviewing Physician’s Formula Waikiki Strip/Peachy Glow Bronzer, Blush and Eye Shadow. These shimmer strips by Physician’s Formula are pretty famous amongst the beauty gurus. I have seen many reviews where these were being compared to luxury brands. This Waikiki Strip has been called a dupe of one of the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks. In this hope, I ditched Bobbi Brown and bought shimmer strip of Physician’s formula.

Product Description:
• Shimmer all year long with this glowing powder which highlights skin with five luminous bands of warm beige, sand and bronze.
• All shades blend together for the ultimate glamorous, tan glow.
• Use all over face as a Bronzer, sweep over cheeks as a Blush or use each individual shade as an Eye Shadow.
• Silky smooth texture for a radiant complexion.

Directions:
• As a Bronzer: sweep brush through all five shades and dust lightly over face where light naturally hits for the most flattering look.
• As a Blush: sweep through all five shades and dust lightly over cheeks to highlight and accentuate.
• As an Eye Shadow: to add sheen to eyes, use a medium shade on the eyelid and a dark shade in the crease of the eyelid to contour, add a highlighting effect by applying the lightest shade in the compact just under the brows.

My Experience with Physicians Formula Waikiki Strip/Peachy Glow Bronzer, Blush and Eye Shadow:

Packaging:
Packaging is an all square transparent plastic box which opens with a ‘click’ sound. The lid closes safely. It does not have any mirror or applicator. The amount of product given is 8.5 grams. All the colors are neatly arranged in rows with defined border. Colors can be used separately or mixed together. To pick up the product separately, I think the strips are too thin. At the back of the case, there is a silver square sticker on which shade, weight, etc. are mentioned. The packaging is sturdy and would not break easily on hitting hard surface.

Texture:
Smooth texture with no chunky glitters visible. It can be blended easily. The shimmer is finely milled. There is no dry feeling when you pick up the product. It is not drying on skin as well. There is no spillage on hitting the product. The lighter colors are not chalk like.

They can be used dry as well as wet. The product transforms on the skin evenly. There was no problem taking swatches. It does not exaggerate pores on applying to the face. The texture is such that it can be used on eyes as eyeshadow too. The intended purpose of the product is three ways:
• Eyeshadow
• Blush/highlighter
• Bronzer

Pigmentation:
These as blush and highlighter are damn good. Suit every skin tone. The first two rows were good for me. I do not understand the use as a bronzer though. The last two colors if rubbed hard would give bronze color, but only for lighter complexion. I would rather use those colors as allover eye color for parties and functions.

The highlighter gives a very subtle glow giving an appearance of healthy skin. No increase in the oily look of the skin. All colors when mixed together give a peachy glow. Perfect method of application for me will be fingers as the strips are too thin. You can use fluffy eyeshadow blending brush too, to pick up the product.

Staying Power:
With full makeup base, these work for 7-8 hours for me. I have used them wet as well as dry. Wet, it stayed for 8-9 hours; dry for 7-8 hours. I like this much wear, no complains. It fades gracefully. It is a perfect party time highlighter with multitasking abilities.
