Baked Oatmeal

Directions To Use:

Use each shade independently or combine shades for a more finished, sophisticated look.  Use medium shades on eyelid, darker shade in the crease as a contour for added drama, and lighter shade to highlight eyelid and brow bone.  When applied wet, the darkest shade can be used as an eyeliner for long-lasting, pure intense lining.

My Take on Physicians Formula Wet/Dry Eye Shadow – Baked Oatmeal:

Wow! They surely talk a lot, but glad to know that they know what they’re manufacturing unlike some other companies. The packaging is good. It has a clear lid and closes tightly. So, you don’t have to be scared that it would open while travelling with it or carrying it somewhere. I personally love this trio. The colors are so natural looking and can be worn everyday.

They are pretty pigmented and just one swipe of the applicator or brush on the eyes is enough. I use it over MAC Painterly Paint Pot and they show up pretty well.

Below is a swatch of it in artificial light:

Swatches

As you can see that it is shimmery but not over-the-top shimmery. Looks very natural on the eyes and does not look like you have applied chunky glitter.  As claimed by the company, it goes on smoothly and is very pigmented. There are three shades, one for the eyelid area, one for the crease and one for highlight, but they can always be mixed and matched. One complaint that I have is that the brown is not very pigmented and dark. Since I have dark circles, it sort of looks the same as my skin tone, but the eyelid colour is absolutely gorgeous. Its a silvery brown color, very unique.

As stated, it can also be used wet. Just wet your brush or applicator and apply it, but as stated by the company, it does not show up too dramatic. I tried doing and it just shows up as an intense silver color, but I felt that the colour kind of fades away after a while and looks like dry application only once it dries, but apart from that, it shows up wonderfully.

Here is a swatch in the natural light:

The brown is the least pigmented of the three. The middle one is the highlight and the right one is the lid colour.

This trio is not available in India. I have sensitive skin, so I am always on the lookout for products which are organic. Physicians Formula is one brand that really attracts me for that quality, but it is hard to find.  Also, this eyeshadow is not completely crease proof. It does crease on my oily lids, but not too much, just a little bit. These shadows can be worn for up to 4-5 hours after which you need touch ups.

Anyhow, I used it on my eyes to give you guys an idea of how it looks on the eyes and I have not used mascara as I am not really going out and I find mascara to be heavy sorts to be used while sitting at home :-/. I just wanted to show you guys how it looks on the eyes!
