Pink Lace Collar Neckpiece with White Beads – Do It Yourself

Hello ladies,

I am back with a DIY project and I am going to show you how to make your own collar neck piece using a pretty colourful lace.  Have a look at this:

Things you need to make this neck piece:

How to make necklace at home

  • Lace.
  • Crystals or pearls.
  • Eye pins.
  • Jump rings.
  • Nose pliers.
  • Wire cutter.
  • Scissors.
  • Velcro.
  • Needle and thread.

Sorry, I forgot to keep the jump rings there:

How To Make Collar Neck Piece:

1. Cut the lace to a desired length. Determine the length by holding the lace around your neck. It shouldn’t be too tight or too loose.

2. Take a plastic crystal and insert it in an eye pin. (refer image no 3 below)

3. Now, bend it to form a loop cutting away the excess with a wire cutter.

4. Now, insert a jump ring through this loop (refer image no 5 above) and attach this to the lace at the centre (refer image no 6 below).

5. Repeat steps from 2 to 4, and keep attaching the crystals on the either side of the first crystal. (Refer image no 7 below, I used 7 crystals in total).

6. Now, cut a piece of Velcro and sew the softer side to the outer part of the lace on one end and the harsh side to the inner part of the lace (refer image no 8 to 11 below) so that when you put the neck piece around your neck, they will come one over the other.

And voila you are done!

These laces come in different designs and colours. There were dark pinks to baby pinks, yellows and blues and all sort of candy colours. I had a difficult time choosing one.

    1. *thankyou* *thankyou* Neha.. You can get the raw material at stores which sell jewellery making supplies. Else you could also get wire and make your own loops (jump rings) and eye pins.
