My Experience with Pixi By Petra Correction Concentrate:

Let’s start with the packaging of the product. The concealer comes in a small cardboard box. Product-related information is printed on the outer carton. The corrector comes in a small glass jar. The shade name is mentioned at the base of the jar. The jar closes with a screw-on lid. The lid closes very firmly making the jar air tight so that the product does not dry out. The tiny tub is very travel friendly and takes very less space in my makeup pouch. Overall, the packaging is good and travel friendly.

The correction concentrate comes in two shades – “Brightening Peach” and “Awakening Apricot.” The former is a pale peach shade and will flatter only fair skin tones. For my skin tone and most of the Indian skin tones, this shade called “Awakening Apricot” is perfect. I don’t own many correctors. I have only tried the L.A. Girl HD Pro Conceal Orange Corrector  previously, but I find it too dark for my skin tone and it is slightly difficult to work with because of the shade. So, I picked this one, as it is a perfect shade for me. Two-three dots of this concealer are good enough to cover the dark under eye area properly I mix a tinge of yellow corrector to it to get the bright under eyes. For the yellow corrector I like both the L.A. Girl and the one from NYX HD Concealer range.

The texture of the concealer is creamy and smooth, but it is slightly on the thicker side and feels little heavy or may I say it is a little greasy. This makes it crease a little and it is important to set the under eyes properly to avoid any mess. This thick greasy formula helps to easily blend in the product without much effort and also the corrector does not highlight dry under eyes. It is super blend-able. It blends very easily with fingers or even with a concealer brush. I prefer blending it in with my fingers. It does not look heavy or layered. It pretty much hides the dark under eye area in a single layer.

You may build up the product according to the requirement. It settles down to semi-matte kind of finish. It mixes with the skin amazingly well and just vanishes into it. My under-eye area does not really look orangish. It just mixes with the skin color cancelling all the darkness under the eyes. I add yellow corrector just to add a little more brightness. Otherwise, it works great in correcting the dark circles and black shadow around the mouth. It stays for around 6-7 hours on my skin without creasing. Once you set it with the powder, it will not budge at all. This is one of the best correctors out there at a reasonable price. I am not exaggerating that it as a very good dupe of Bobbi Brown Peach Corrector and the price is really affordable. Overall, I love this product.
