My Experience with Pixi Eye Bright Kit:
This product seemed so good in theory. All the products you may need for a creating a bright, well-rested eye look in one tiny compact and Pixi products have mostly worked good for me, but this product unfortunately came as a huge disappointment.
The packaging come in a signature lime green tub which screws off and contains four quads. Perfect for travel or throwing in your purse.
This product comes in only two variants – Fair/Medium and Medium/Tanned. I got the shade “Medium/Tanned” to fit my Indian Nw23 skin tone and the shades do go well with my skin tone without looking very apparent that I am wearing makeup. This finish is definitely very natural and the coverage is very sheer which is the biggest disappointment for me as I do have heavy dark circles and this does little-to-no job of hiding them.
All the 4 products are very creamy and does melt into the skin, but this very creaminess also makes it very prone to settling in every little fine line and also the product does keep sliding around during the day even after I try to set it with powder. Using this without any setting powder would result in an absolute disaster. Only one of these four shades contain shimmer and that’s the highlighter. It basically provides no color, only the shimmer is apparent when applied. The pink shade which is described as a brightener looks very unnatural with my skin tone when applied on the inner corner of the eye. Both the shades of the concealer are workable with my skin tone and can be used alone or blended to get a more custom shade. I like the fact that it is fragrance free.
Overall, this product is very expensive and does not perform up to my expectations. If you are someone with little to no problem of dark circles or fine lines around the eyes, this may work for you as it will impart a “well rested” look to the eye, but for those like me who have severe dark circles, this product is not for you. Also, would not recommend to those with oily skin due to the intense and creamy nature of the product.
I would not recommend this bright kit nor repurchase it.
